Presumably. No reason I can think that Merlin isn't chilling in Avalon and watching all this play out. Probably a bit problematic for him that there is no one capable enough to summon him. Either things will work out ok or the world will end up a place without many interesting things for him to watch going forward.

I'm going off the Babylonia anime only, but he's normally impossible to summon. He used a loophole to get there, and it only works for time periods before his birth. Well, maybe there are other loopholes I don't know about.

Pretty much since he's technically not dead. He finds another loophole using Chaldea that I think imprints him on the Throne though.

New chapter came out. Illya vs Julian(Darius) still continues. She has the upper hand.

I still don't how is Illya unlocking more power for the Saber Class card. Or is it not the card at all.

Whatever trick is involved for Illya is of course necessary with how broken Julian himself is. A totally crazy ability to enlarge his magic circuits, extend them from his body, and draw power from that mud like fueling up a car with gas. I suppose at this point it would just be main character power coming to the rescue.

Though I don't mind it. The power of Saber and Excalibur being drawn out as much as possible here. A pretty dark moment for that world and the last light of hope is still hanging on.

Well, Saber is technically the worlds last line of defense against stuff like this, so I guess it makes sense she'd be syncing with Illya pretty well in these circumstances.

Of course it would. Two NPs are better than just one. Avalon isn't just any NP either.

New chapter came out.

We're getting into Julian's past. He thought of Erika, or rather Emilia back then, as an older sister. I hope Angelica will get some spotlight too. We're definitely going to see how she died, but I want to see what she was like when she was alive.

So we're diving into Julian's history. I'm good with that. Can see how his life steadily went off the rails. Had to watch his father be taken over by this ghost and it only got worse from there. Should get to find out the fate of Angelica with this.

But the key of course is the connection he had with Pandora. Probably stumbling upon one of her suicide attempts. All of this to tie into the idea that he doesn't really want her to die. She was this older sister type figure and part of his family.

And hey glad Illya hasn't just locked herself into Saber here. She's got a ton of cards. Time to use them!

An another chapter. Half fighting, half flashback, more or less. Julian finally remembered what he truly wanted for Pandora, and his fight against Illya appears to have reached its conclusion. Of course, now that he's weakened, it's the perfect time for Darius to take over completely.

Illya definitely got a decisive blow, but now is probably where Darius will step in.

At least Julian finally remembered what he wanted in the first place. A long road ahead towards the conclusion here. But it was an important step. Only so much that Illya can figure out from his behavior. At some point Julian himself had to go through some thinking about his true feelings.

No doubt this should be a chance for Darius to try taking over. One way or another they need to deal with that ghost. Probably a serious struggle there before someone intervenes. Be it Julian fighting from the inside or someone else. Might be worth also looking over at the situation with Pandora, Miyu, and Kuro.

And then comes the question of where the wild cards might show up. Sakura being the most immediately concerning one.

Hopefully the Rin/Sakura relation will finally come to light.

It's actually kind of weird she'd go for such a blow because (this) Illya would never kill someone. She didn't even want to kill Beatrice who was already dead.

It kinda feels like she got too into the fight and forgot to restrain herself at the last moment
