So no answers? Does that mean ... 99% chance no more translation?

Lol it has been 3 years now with no new releases so I think it is safe to say that it is dead. I got my hands on a Chinese translation if anyone is interested.

So I was reading about Maruko here and physics recommended this, I like how MJN has done 8/48 and look forward to seeing it. Does it really have that classic real feel?

Unfortunately MJN hasn't released any episode of this series in along time and doesn't look like they'll release anything soon as well. the episodes released are excellent and the manga is even better. Old Adachi is the best Adachi.

This is a dead topic most likely but after watching the first 12 episodes I decided to dig to see if there was more to be found on getting it subbed

Found raws at dailymotion ( http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19...?search_algo=1 )with all 48 but I'm not fluent enough to keep up with it even with getting a good feel for it at the beginning

Wish someone that had the ability to translate these would from episode 13 - 48

Thanks for your time everyone

I also keep hope alive for more fansubs but it seems unlikely.

However, if you know Spanish, you could try find the spanish version of the series (from Spain, not Latino) by the name "Alegre Juventud", the dubbing is actually good and the dialogues are quite faithful to the original (apart from characters name changes). I don't remember if the spanish version had any kind of minor video cut/censorship.
It's not easy to find, but I think they still exist on the web.

ray=out has subbed its first 24 episodes. They need a quality checker for the rest of the episodes, but they have no problems with the translators already.

What a great series.
