Gunpla update: Snagged myself an oldschool HG Gouf Flight Type and Gouf Custom for $20 (not bad, buying them online would have costed more for me due to shipping) that I found at my local hobby shop. And for the lulz (ok not really), bought the new HGUC Gouf Custom to compare, and as a present for my brother

Speaking of which, really wished Bandai had released a new HGUC Gouf Flight Type in conjunction with the BR release of the 08th MS Team.

My MG Shining Gundam and MG God Gundam arrived in the mail.

How is it that oldschool models are so FUN to put together despite their age and quality?

Maybe its just me, but I really seem to appreciate the oldschool models

(working on HG (not HGUC) 1/144 Gouf Custom, and hey, the proportions and details are actually quite nice, and I actually do not mind the lower parts counts (less nub cleaning and more snapping together!)

Now I need to think about something to do with the colors, since its quite lacking (4 colors excluding those provided through stickers

Im thinking about trying for something like this (picture from gundam wikia):


Though this is probably above my painting skills, maybe some simple color swaps with a paint marker......

"The Strike Rouge Phoenix Equipment will be appearing in the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny HD Remaster anime"

Not too sure how I feel about the new pack, I always loved the IWSP

Nice to see that this is not a Online Exclusive, and the new pack makes it more fresh, unlike the Perfect Strike

ZOMG I just realized that the new "Phoenix" pack looks like a modified "Oowashi" pack from the Akatsuki gundam, which would make sense if it was a prototype pack or a modified/alternative version O-o

I saw MG Rouge RM coming from a mile away since Strike RM announced, but honestly didn't expect the new flight pack. I guess Strike Rouge Ootori will be Destiny's Perfect Strike.

So my guess for a perfect strike rouge came true in a different form for destiny remaster.
I'm more interested on the pack gimmicks

I guess, thats what caught anyone by surprise Obelisk, it's the new flight pack! I was hoping it was I.W.S.P. but I looked closer!, i wonder now if it is worth watching the remaster....

^ Yeah, I noticed. That's why I said what I said .

Anyway, not a big fan of those yellows on the Ohtori-pack. If those are stickers, I won't apply it. If those are actual yellow parts, I'll paint it dark red.

Great news that it is NOT an exclusive!

Wasn't exspecting a new striker pack, but i'm loving it allready, it looks like a crossover between IWSP en the perfect striker pack

Interesting. I didn't even know about this striker pack yet.
It looks cool but I am not sure if this thing is gonna make me buy the new Strike Rouge.

I’m afraid this release is also a statement from Bandai that “If you want Rouge RM with its standard Aile pack, you have to buy Aile Strike RM too = more money for us! harharhar!”. I hope a miracle happens and Bandai actually include the Aile Pack for the kit.

yen price does not seems to include the Aile Pack, if included, price probably be shoot up to ard 6000yen+
