@ Demi - Just started my term, so no tests for me I'm stuck on daydreams now, though. I'm making it more serious and splitting it to two chapters.

@eras: Well it's good that you're taking daydreams more seriously now, but don't pressure yourself too much. Sometimes you get so caught up in capturing certain details you forget other parts

@ Demi - The fight extends when Tatenashi questions his will to fight and why he's not doing everything to win against her. This causes him to take the fight more seriously and he headbutts her to get out of her grapple

Because Ichika can't brawl against women. He would have beaten her in V5 if she didn't flash him. Plus I'm not sure why you want to reinforce the need for Ichika to win.

If I'm not wrong, Time Divers is a term for a group of people who travel between alternate dimensions.

The holographic widescreen, fixated upon the upper half of a wall, displays the overview of Japan and zooms into what would appear to be the Fukushima Prefecture.

Multiple contour lines begin to form next to it, promptly marked with a [MT. NASU] indicator.

Within the contour lines, a blue, circular ripple materializes and encompasses some parts of the area, indicating a detected seismic signal.

Chifuyu directs Inami’s attention towards said ripple using a laser pointer.

“This was almost twenty minutes ago…” She begins to explain.

“Unlike the previous signal, this one seems to be more of a natural earthquake. Then again, given the small suspicious seismic signal we got yesterday and the fact that Mount Nasu formerly houses Praxidike’s main operations base… Something just doesn’t feel right.”

She then turns to look at him, who’s looking at the screen with focused, calculative eyes.

“What do you think, Arisawa? Is there any chance that something hostile may still be in there?”

“There is, Sensei.” He firmly answers, catching her attention as she narrows her eyes.

“Yesterday, Jinrai-san also received news of a minor earthquake at Mount Nasu… and he says that he might have an idea as to why.”

“Hmm… Go on.” Chifuyu says as she begins to pay attention to his explanation.

“He mentioned that not all the Academy IS replica drones were deployed during the attack on the Silver Gospel.”

“Not all…? How many were there?”

“According to him, there are seven replica drones… But only six of them were seen attacking the Gospel. The seventh wasn’t deployed along.”

“Six replicas… Each of them resembling the Personal IS pilots’ units.”

“Yes. And so far, I’ve only seen those six Personal IS units.”

“Seven, actually. The Silver Gospel is… as you may recall, the personal unit of the USA’s Representative Cadet.”

“Ah… Though I didn’t quite get her name.”

“Natasha Fairs. She wondered around the Academy looking for you during the few weeks after the warhead attack. During then, you and Katami are already in Noshiro.”

“That’s right but… why was she looking for me, Sensei? I doubt we even know each other.”

“Beats me. She basically went around asking Ichika and the others about a ‘metal wolf’ that the AI unit in her IS went up against. I assumed she was referring to the Minerva.”

“’Metal wolf’, seriously…?” He utters with half-shut eyes, apparently not amused by the nickname.

uh....he doesn't win He just puts up a better fight before going down. Tatenashi asks him how he can protect his friends when he holds back so much. This made him fight more seriously.

Side note - You think Ichika could've beaten her? Laura couldn't beat her.

@eras: I can imagine Ichika looking away and saying something like "But I can't fight you." or "You're one of the people I want to protect." even "You're not the enemy."

That's the problem : Ichika asked to spar with her to get better, but he doesn't even go all out? it makes it all pointless and Tatenashi points this out.

Not really. Ichika admits that he shouldn't hesitate to ask his friends for help and even says that he'll get to the point where he can beat her in a fight. Tatenashi makes remarks about him turning into a guy she can fall in love with and he starts stuttering again.

Hell no I can't! This is why Daydreams is a pain in the ass to write By the way, this is just her daydream. the real version has Ichika getting the tar kicked out of him and he wasn't even holding back The canon version, basically.

The best case scenario? He gets the tar kicked out of him and they eat dinner afterwards. The Daydream about the sushi happens afterwards.

@eras: skip the part about Ichika beating Tatenashi. Most likely you really can't relate to it so you find it hard to write. Or if you really want that scene then ask a more experienced writer to help you visualize and put it down.

Um...didn't I say that he doesn't beat Tatenashi? I just changed it from "Gets the crap beaten out of him" to "Fights back before getting the crap beaten out of him".

hmmm... then same advice only change the part about beating Tatenashi to about fighting back better.

So....her ideal version of Ichika in her daydream is a guy who continously gets the crap beaten out of him? I don't want to write the fight scene to be completely honest, but that seems kinda odd.

I doubt she's actively looking at a guy's combat ability to decide whether he's dating material or not. Rather I think she finds Ichika to be honestly reliable. He's not quite as good as she wants him to be yet, but she's sure he'll reach that level she wants soon.

My advice: Have Ichika try again, and again, and again....

And then finally win the fight for the first time.

You just have to write one fight, the rest can be described with exposition, also, small quote how Ichika won against her. Better: a cool one liner.
