Plot Summary:

The story takes place in the near future, in a world born of human imagination. What humans would call ghosts or monsters appear, and they come to be called "phantoms." The main character, Haruhiko Ichijō, is a first year at Hosea Academy along with his upperclassman Mai Kawakami, who fights phantoms with the ability "Spirit of Five Elements," Izumi Reina, who has the ability "Phantom Eater," and Koito Minase, who fights phantoms in solitude. They experience the ups and downs of high school life before a certain incident leads them to the truth of this world.

Why do I have a feeling KyoAni changed the title? I thought it was Violet Evergarden.

At the very least, I pray that the artwork will hopefully be made faithfully instead of degenerating itself into the studio's own artstyle like most others, that's not to say it was bad but I'd like to see them giving different character designs a chance.

No, Violet Evergarden is another LN. The only one that won their main prize. This one only won Honorable prize (same as Chuu2Koi, Kyoukai no Kanata, High Speed and couple more).

Looks interesting. Kyoani in-house animators are the best but I hope that its not wasted on another story where almost nothing happens.

Also, I don't get how they stretch one small book into 13 episodes.

Like they always do. Add a lot of anime original content.

Kyoani doing a battle series? That should be interesting. Granted, their last attempt in that wasn't really good. But I hope it will be better than Kyoukai no Kanata. Well, if anything, we know it shall look and sound great, since Kyoani is always great in that department.

And on Euphonium, despite they tried, the main source overwhelmed whatever original they added coughyuri baitcough.

No idea about how I view their original content, mainly because none of the LNs that are used for anime projects have been translated.
