I'm hoping they'll do Calamity Trigger Novel and not the game, and some parts of Phase Shift for flashbacks. The CT Novel expands more on the siblings background and the extended church tragedy was beautiful. Narrative structure would also be easier to follow.

Here's my obligated mentioning that, this show/game, like a whole lot of other shows/games, has its own radio show: http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/12029416#+sort=7

Unlike the others, this radio has video, and some episodes have been translated somewhere.

Dunno what to think. It's totally not the anime for them but I won't say it's so bad. Animation in Seikon no Qwaser was decent

That's around the release date of the console version of Chrono Phantasma. Interesting since the adaptation is closer to us than we realise.

Rather than touching the original CT game, they can just do either the CT novels or the CT reconstruction from Extend, either one could fit in a single cour.

I would rather have it be its own original story than try to cram all the terminology and world building into one-cour, only to fail because of the lack of time.

That can easily conflict with any of the previous source materials, (phase 0, Calamity Trigger, Continuum Shift or Chrono Phantasma)

Besides why do you even need something original, when you already have so much things to work with?

The director helmed King of Fighters Another Day. which was as decent as it could get.

Quick correction, it's actually Hideki Tachibana who's directing, not Masaki Tachibana. My bad, I was copying off someone who translated the credits on Dustloop forums but forgot to double check it myself.

You're missing the fact that Phase 0 was an original light novel that had it's own narrative instead of simply following Calamity Trigger or Continuum Shift's story directly.

That's all I'm suggesting they do: write a story that expands on something in the universe without following the game's events to the letter, because not only is that difficult to adapt, but Calamity Trigger's convoluted plot makes it even more difficult.

Phase 0 and the Phase Shift novels that follow it are canon to the games, though. They're even referenced in Extend.

Spoiler for spoiler:
You might want to put that part in spoilers incase people who haven't played the game read this

Phase 0 was meant as a prequel to Calamity Trigger and it did follow Calamity trigger alot
