Endo and Kobayashi's Live Commentary on the Villainess

Oh, I remember this one. It was pretty cute at the start.
The story format kind of made me lose interest in it a little past half way through it however. I hope they produce of few more villainess stories because there aren't many of them in anime yet. |

Not really, but if one were to judge solely on the title, it would be understandable to conclude that this is heavily inspired by that cult classic. But no, this goes a step beyond (to be fair, I'm sure that folks have imagined over the years how the characters in those cheesy movies would react if they could hear Joel and Crow and the others); it should be interesting to observe. I can imagine one thread being Endō and Kobayashi coming to recognize the lesson a certain New Yorker only grasped after losing his uncle.
Some references seem to be in order, for the community's benefit. The Wikipedia entry and its footnotes are a start, leading to among other things the J-Novel Club entry. And yes, that's definitely a high-order blush on Liselotte wrapping up the trailer.

The concept of this show is weird, but almost perfect. Instead of just the usual "reincarnated into a game world for some reason" we're keeping the characters in the game and the regular people outside of it. Just seems like it'll be fun watching both the characters in the game and outside of it react to things.
This could be good  . Hard to say from the trailers alone, but might end up being my favourite of these villainess stories.

The Opening already displays all the romance and couples, from Endo and Kobayashi, to Siegwald and Lieselotte, to even Fiene and Baltur
 !Also Fabian seems like and odd choice for an Otome game love interest but I guess girls are into Shota’s… Man, what an all star cast! Tomori Kusunoki as Lieselotte, Kaito Ishikawa and Kana Hanazawa as our high school commentating pair, Yuuchi Nakamura as the hero and Tomokazu Sugita as Liese’s cousin and Fiene’s true love interest, Miyu Tomita as Fiene herself, and was that Jun Fukuyama as the actor  !?Man, it’s kind of surreal hearing HanaKana as a hardcore Otome game fan girl rooting for the Villainess coming off of her prior Otome game anime role. But find something you enjoy as much as Kobayashi does Lieselotte’s cuteness and romance prospects !It seem the reason Lieselotte is so popular, particularly to Kobayashi, is because of her effectiveness as a Villainess character (and her look’s probably help as well) but also her memoir in the fan disk that expanded on her character and why she acted the way she did. Although that does make it even more tragic that they kill her off in every route of the game. Like why make her such a 3-dimensional character, developers  !?When your entire club wants you to hook up! Although it seems like it’s more just gauging how Kobayashi really feels about Endo…and the pair of them working together to help hook Lieselotte and Siegwald up will inevitably bring them together  .So a medieval fantasy prince from an Otome Game is hearing the running commentary of two high school students, assumed they’re Gods, and finally realizes how cute his fiancé is and what it means to be a tsundere. You can’t make this up  !(Also does the game not have voice acting? It seemed like they were just reading the text instead of hearing it  ).This game commentary is definitely improving Endo’s romantic prospects as he gets an invite to be alone with Kobayashi at her home all Summer  !Was that actual Light Novel art for the ED? Nice parallel pics of the two main couples  !

The opening already has me thinking this will be my favourite of these noble villainess series. Mostly because it seems to avoid one standard pattern. It doesn't look as if the game's main character will be a villain here. The story just seems to recognize that it's an otome game. Which means there's a lot of legitimate ships that girl could be part of that doesn't just mean becoming an enemy of the villainess that will be a protagonist in the anime story.
Plus I legit love Endo and Kobayashi. Even the people outside the game have a really cute ship to cheer for. This anime is just packed with nice ships . I'm looking forward as much for the couple outside of the game as the ones inside of it.And it's fun to imagine that these goofballs will be passed along through the history of that kingdom as gods by the end of all this .
