Double subversion of the usual "Caught with your pants down" and "guilty pleasure".

Specifically, Houki, Rin and Ran expect them to watch porn (and tissue scattered made it look like something worse), while Madoka being wrong genre savvy and expect them to watching something embarrassing such as romance drama (because Charles is obviously crying), turns out it was a porn with drama....

Rin has a field day with that, while Madoka and Houki is visibly upset. This is also the reason why Cecilia is so unwholesome on her approach...

When Ran blamed it on her brother, Dan give no damn and said no guy of his age never watch Porn (on purpose or incidentally), also, Ichika always been like that. (he was asexual back then in Junior High, and watching for the lulz and curiosity, and he never have his own porn stash)

It happened right after the bleak "Ichika's past" moment, so you can say it's a huge mood whiplash, borderline BLAM. The guys went upstairs while the girl talk below.

Girls are less into visual media, and more into literature. My sister claim that and points to Twilight and Anita Blake series, as well as Literotica (like fiction press, but it was porn in written form) and boy she was right...

EDIT: Though there's some exception, like Josei and some shoujo manga, and almost all yaoi too.

I just thpught of something.

Tabane may be a troll and morally ambigious, but she's the only thing between peace and total war. Let me explain: She distributed the cores and hid herself, thereby ensuring a balance by making sure no side has an advantage over the other. The country's will be too intimidated to try anything. If she dies, then there's nothing stopping the world from going to Total war and fighting each other for the cores now that they're no longer intimidated and the only way to get new cores is to take them now their creator's dead.

Tabane ascends to a higher plane of existence in your fic, so she's still "Alive" in a sense. In FI bad future, this makes it a downer ending since all his troubles and fighting just ended with him assuring the worlds destruction.

Still by that point the choice is two: She destroy the world now, or her death causing endless war, or causing the massive resurgence of manpower as I.S. system went down.

Even assuming she ascend and alive, there's no chance she's going to create more cores in that state.

Sigh, I want my happy ending, no good for bleakness if there's no light in the end of tunnel.

Then don't use that interpretation. There's no canon evidence to back it up anyway. I'm only using it so it makes the ending bittersweet in Bad Future. With her death, the world might go to war, but there's a chance to improve now that she's no longer keeping things static.
