Digimon may not have endured in popularity compared to Pokemon, but Digimon S1 was my favourite, damn it!

... okay, so it's 3 years after 02 and before the "25 years later" epilogue? Since he was 14 in 02 (or 16 in the dub, because the dub is stupid like that).

Was never really stated (only Ken and Miyako were confirmed married) but considering Sora's daughter looks like Yamato and Yamato's son looks like Sora...

Anyway... how was the last Digimon series doing? I believe it’s called Digimon X-Wars or something. Was it a financial dud? I assume it was since they want/need to go back to the original series. Now I remember that I stopped watching Digimon series after the awful Digimon Saver. From what I can recall, it tried hard to be edgy (probably want to recreate the magic of Digimon Tamers or something) but failed in the execution. They should’ve went with a new idea and go total wacky on it like Digimon Frontier. At least that one was entertaining.

I remember having some good times watching digimon adventure all those 11+ long years ago. I stopped watching after the 3rd season but the first season was always my favorite.

P.S - In the reunion episode in 02, it is confirmed that Sora went with Yamato. The movie is not canon.

Yeah, you can’t really have a Digimon series without OP from Wada Kouji. In fact, the OP is one of three things I like about Savers (the other two are the ED & character design).

Funny thing was that it didn't really bothered me as a kid, but now the more I think about it the more it rustles my jimmies... not a fan of the brothers.

Well it did get extended past its initially planned 54 episode run... That said they also saw fit to give it a considerable retool halfway through said 54 episode run and out of all the Digimon-series, it seems to be the one that was by far the most obviously written on the fly. I'm not sure it was actually all that successful though, as some claimed the only reason it got extended was because TV Asahi wanted something to fill that time-slot before a new Saint Seiya series followed it or something... Said extension (Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time) was boring as sin anyway...

But I don't really think them going back to the original cast really has anything to do with the success or lack thereof for Xros Wars. Rather, y'know, it's the anniversary of the series. Of course they'd go back to the original, and by far most iconic, cast.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.
