I remember watching the PV a while ago, it was very well-animated. Now I want to watch the thing to see if A-1 will hold a candle on it.

Another one complaining. I don't care about this series but NoitaminA never degraded. They always had more unique seasons and less unique. And it's just a half of the block

What is the story anyway?

there is no info aside from the pv that isn't much of a pv but the animation is good.

Unlike the SAO-esque designs that the anime have, I actually liked the animation of this old PV and the visuals doesn't feel degraded and remain very faithful to the source material. I don't know much about the story but I hope it can live to its potential even if it falls flat after the first few episodes.

A-1 Pictures will animate the series. The studio previously animated a promotional video for the novel in December 2011. Kanta Kamei (Bunny Drop, Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~, Oreshura) will direct the series, and Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die, Samurai Flamenco, Oreimo) will handle the series composition. Additionally, Tetsuya Kawakami (chief animation director and sub-character design for Sword Art Online) will adapt Akaringo's character designs for animation, and Keigo Hoashi (Dusk maiden of Amnesia) and monaca (Star Driver, Wagnaria!!, Aikatsu!) will handle the music.

The story centers around the treasure of Nanana, a ghost who was once a beautiful but NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) girl. A boy named Jūgo was disowned by his father and forced to transfer to a high school on the "Special Student Zone," an artificial island. With only 40,000 yen (about US$500) a month to live on, Jūgo chooses a low-rent apartment that happens to be haunted by Nanana. Jūgo and members of the school's adventure club join a "treasure hunt royale" on the island for the Nanana Collection, a treasure that possesses a mysterious power.

Not the worst plot ever. Might watch I guess, Outbreak Company turned out to be great so this could too.

This PV dampened my expectations a lot. I was promised transforming CG desks removed from space-time-continuum, dammit

or at least that's what I was lead to believe by the first promo. Why is this stuff on noitaminA again?

But anyway, Scrapped Princess/Outbreak Company author, Usagi Drop's director and Now And Then, Here And There's/Oreimo S1's/Flamenco's writer. This might actually be pretty great.

i am very excited for this series. Always wanted to read it but just never did.

It may sound ridiculous but being 1 of the series that is from the same publisher and won similar competition as Bungaku Shoujo, Kokoro Connect and Baka to test itself makes me feel that this series should be good.
