I saw the second season episode 0.
A story is almost the same as a novel, and the story of drama CD is also adopted in a little. There was also Horo's monologue. There is not OP/ED yet. (There is OP of an instrument.) About BGM, since there was much reuse of a first season, I felt it somewhat unnatural. About a character design, I think that it is satisfactory level in general. However, I think that Horo is too cute and there is no dignity of wise wolf. (Since this episode is a story of Horo's viewpoint, I may feel so.) As my impression, I think that it has inherited the atmosphere of a first season. Spoiler for picture of episode 0:

I thought it didn't come out until the 30th???
And what's with the naked beach scene? That seems a little odd. I really don't like the 3rd picture down in the first column. |

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! noooooooo!!! i have a test tomorrow and an exam on saturday now i can't concentrate argh!!!
Wow i thought it was coming out on the 30th as well. From the pictures Kagura has blessed us with it seems like the art quality is really improved although i'm still put off with the nose of Lawrence and some aspects of Horo. I really hope that the wise wolf aspect of Horo is not lost through the animation. I'm relieved that the novel monologues are put in but i guess that means extra work for koshimizu ami. I will watch it as soon as my exam finishes, that's if it's out by saturday!!! |

Why do female characters in Anime have to be cute and moe all the time? At least for Horo they should have kept the rather mature look. |

I don't mind how Horor looks for the most part, heck I think she overall looks better. Its just her something about her, for me its her eyes, doesn't seem to express (as people have said) that level of maturity and wisdom that the original style did so well of conveying.

Hah?! *looks at the date*
Uwaa~... Why didn't I search for the episode 0 two days ago... Stupid me... *finds it* Geh... Already 7000+ comments... <--good thing --- It was a fun Horo moe episode. Because... that is what most of the episode way, Horo blushing and making entertaining moments. The new art... Definitely feels different from the 1st season's, but looks similar enough that I don't feel it is that odd. But motion/overall feel is certainly more towards "moe" now. Not that I mind personally. ...Fukuyama, you definitely just wanted to do that scene, didn't you? <--during the talk with Nora at the first half And to top off the good introduction episode was the last part... The warning that people are not to upload it on the net without permission, etc. Really, everyone needs to stop watching from the computer. Hahahahahaha!

Watching episode 0 right now.
The first half mostly was about Horo being jealous towards Nora whom attracted Lawrenece's attention more than she did.She caught a fever after that, and Lawrence had to carry her back to their room. While 2nd half was more about Horo's melancholy on the bed, while Lawrence took care of her. All in all,i think there's not much differences in animation style with the season 1,except on few parts, where i could notice some were done badly.Horo seems to change alot in this episode...not sure how to describe it,but surely she looks different from what she was in season 1.Kinda like she was no longer the same Horo as she was in season 1. I'm glad actually that the margin differences in animation style when compared to season 1 isn't that big...at least i can still feel the "continuation" of the series despite of s2 being made by a different studio .Now all that's left for me to wait is the OP/ED for the show. |

I really enjoyed episode 0 save a few quibbles(well really just things I will have to get used to). The artwork didn't change much, but it took on a couple of new "cute" overtones. I'll adapt to that fast, but what concerned me more was the pacing, not in plot development or anything like that, but in the way the story was portrayed. For some reason I got a feeling that this episode was going for a more bubbly cutesy type pace than season one was. I hope that this is either my warped interpretation or because this is basically an ova, aka not necessarily the real season. This is because my favorite thing from season one was it's slower almost more refined pacing when compared to other anime.

Yes I like cute and moe. But from my point of view, Horo feels more..... "authentic"... if she is drawn more adult-like. |

Hmm...that had a really different feel compared to the first season. Not that it was necessarily bad at all, but I hope they'll stick closer to the feel of the first season for season two. Fun episode nonetheless though. And they slightly touched on an interesting point that'll have to come up eventually between them. Difference in life-span.
