Wow I didnt realize the series was that long! Hey more fun for me ^_^ Also do you know if any other volumes other then one two and three are available to purchase? I checked Amazon and they had one through three so it made me wonder if four was even available yet. (Along with the rest)

I know it's Christmas and I know this is a very old thread... But no one is talking about the RK manga "reboot" coming in June? This is huge news, though just what reboot means is still unclear.
This is certainly a busy time for RK - live-action, misguided OVA, and now a continuation of the manga. Can we please, please just get the Jinchu Arc already?

I have read the news just now and oh god, this is very surprising.
I thought the Jinchuu arc was a pretty good conclusion to the manga and now there's a continuation to the manga? Hmm.... Though the author said before that he had a "Hokkaido arc" in his mind while he was drawing the Jinchuu arc but ultimately he decided to end at Jinchuu arc at that time.

Even though Rurouni Kenshin did a great job of wrapping things up, I had entertained the idea of some continuation telling the tale of Kenji, or a prequel series thoroughly explore the Meiji revolution and Kenshin's childhood and coming of age. What ever this "reboot" turns out to be, more Kenshin manga is always welcome (though I can't say the same for the anime and the recently announced OVA).
2012 is shaping up to be an amazing year. Area no Kishi, the 4th season of Natsume Yuujinchou, the Eureka 7 sequel, and now this. I can't remember the last time I've been interested in so many series at once. |

I'll read it and this is exciting news but at the same time I am thinking to myself but the manga actually had a pretty good conclusion already.
Well maybe it will just be a side story or something. Still nice to see Kenshin back in the spotlight and this is definitely much more intriguing than a reboot of the Kyoto arc.

Is there a thread for the new Rurouni Kenshin, or do I have to zombie this one?
Jump SQ came out, and boy.... The new chapter was.... meh. It's a complete remake of the series, condensed and shortened, probably to coincide with the live-action movie. It was interesting, but defenitely not what I wanted to see.
