So got my copy today and wow, simple wow!
Soul Silver was the 1st pokemon game I played in years and I thought it was great, alot lot better from the 1st gen stuff I first played but damn Black and White take it even further. I'm really really really liking this alot. Went with Oshawott for my first pokemon, hoping he's decent!

Serperior (Snivy) has the best defenses and speed. Emboar (Tepig) has the highest HP and Attack. All three though, have the same stat totals at 528. I'm slightly disappointed in the low speed stats of Samurott and Emboar, but Samurott's too cool to pass up. |

That Fire Daruma (Hihidaruma/whatever the English name is) is better than Tepig. Snivy is outclassed by Liligant (was it? Doreidia) Oshawott............... really doesn't have a rival like the other two. Plus he learns False Swipe.

So been at it for a good few hours and going great but I do have 1....I gotta admit major problem with this game.
Something I've always hated is when developers create something that works perfectly fine and probably ever only needs updating or some small improvements in some areas but when the 2nd ver comes along they end up completely butchering that great creation with whatever daft ideas they have. And something like that has happened here, I'm really not liking the menus here. I like to switch between using the buttons and touch screen regularly, just a habit I got but with B&W I can't really do that. Touch screen is barely used for the menus and even for scrolling texts. I don't know if my game is faulty but thats rather annoying. I like some stuff like the ready menu, nice idea however not completely thought out properly cause instead of showing up on the touch screen where it really should, it shows up on the top and I have to use the D-pad. Stuff like that can irk me somewhat. Thing is I will rate a game on how good it is by how it's menus work(obviously not just that but certain games it can be a main factor, like RPGs, games that use em alot) Other than that yea great game!

So I picked up my copy of Black earlier, and well....
As for visuals, this game is top par; it looks fantastic. Plotwise so far it looks like it's gonna be an average Pokemon plot, though with a somewhat darker twist. Really, the only problem with the game I have is the Pokemon that look like something I could've thrown it all down on paper in Pre-school.

I've now found my most annoying problem with this game, having to hold B down to run. Why they took out the feature from SS/HG is beyond me. Besides that still loving it. It's really a matter of they added some great stuff but then taken away equally useful or needed stuff. Can't wait to capture me a Zekrom!

Yeah I have to agree that design wise they really dropped the ball this gen. At least they've improved a lot of things so there is still good reason to have the game.
Going to pick it up in a couple days which gives me time to figure out which starter I want. Not the best trio they've come up with. My only hope is that the next pokemon games can avoid the fire/fighting combination since they've kind of done it to death.
