I don't know. I only thing I know is that when volume 24 was released, it revealed the series sold 20 millon units. Maybe the release of D.Gray-man Hallow could boost the sales

Of course - it's a series that carries a lot of nostalgia with it for a lot of people. Its one of those stories that you've pretty much grown up with so of course you want to know how it ends. Only thing to make the return to anime even better would be word that Abingdon Boys School would be doing the new opening song.

BTW, I just imagined a really rushed ending to this series. Allen kills the Mana D. Campbell and becomes the new Earl. However, rather than turning in a villain, he tells the Noah to stop the war and kills himself in the process. This is just an idea.

I doubt it.

Noah are like a concept, even if you kill the vessels their memories will reappear in the future.

You would need some high level cheat to destroy concepts and deal with the Church and the independent innocence.

I have to disagree as well. Author still needs to cover a lot in order to reach the ending. At current speed it will take at least 5 years or so (20+ chapters)...

Seriously, Allen is one big mystery. Who is he? Why did he offer to become host? How did he get innocence and why (he should have been considered a noah at that time already)? Why is innocence protecting noah? Why and how did he become younger? What really happened when he turned Mana into akuma?

Questions just keep pilling up

My guess is that Mana's soul is inside Allen via his left cursed eye... maybe mana placed that curse on allen in order to transfer his soul into Allen in order to protect him later on.

Earls memory might be broken becouse you can see that he remembers and later instantly forgets about Mana. He mentioned that he got rid of mana by sending him far away... so mostly to the afterlife not knowing that he is beign carried by allen, yet he himself is kinda earl (who consumed neahs body 35years ago...not knowing that before that he transfered his memories to allen...so its like eating an empty shell... he become earl but not complete)
