First episode was kinda average. I mean we had one of the oldest cliches in anime but combined with action. Still I'll judge it once we have a clear one on one fight in order to see its own appeal. The character designs don't bother me. They seem quite simple after all the weird designs from One Piece

Episode 2 is available legally on Muse Asia channel for people in SEA region:
Uh, is it just me, or did someone push the Fast-Forward button on this episode? Everything happened so rapidly as if plot-points are fired from a machine-gun . As a result, I don't really feel anything for anyone this episode. Just fighting-flashback-fighting-flashback-fighting again. So yeah, I don't really like episode 2. We need more time to breathe to get the feel of the characters. Even plenty 90s fighting anime did better than this.

Umm... Did I see Crunchyroll's logo in this episode?
So Crunchyroll exists as a company in this God of High School world and is sponsoring this tournament? I thought Crunchyroll broadcasts and subs animes, not care about high school fighting tournaments. Yeah, I'd like to know whether Crunchyroll asked them to put their logo in as advertisement or if Mappa did it on their own will.

I hadn't noticed the CR logo in any of the scenes. Guess I was just enthralled in looking forward to and watching the actual fights themselves.
As for plot, I am interested in all these black suit tournament organizers. Seems like they are the best of the best. Although card guy definitely got stomped on by Jin Mori haha |

This kinda feels like Kengan Ashura. Still, I have no idea what to say about the pacing of the fights as we didn't see to much of Jin. The animation is still rad.
The plot feels a bit like Mortal Kombat too (although that series was influenced by a bunch of action movies like Enter the Dragon and Trouble in Little China)

Plot seems pretty shallow, especially with the magical nanomachines that repair any kind of damage making it so they can have the fights be as crazy and damaging as they want with no consequences .
So just tuning it for the 5 or so minutes of fast paced fighting each week.

Just finished watching episode 3
Seems this show really loves using wrestling moves in the fights. Well, considering it takes place inside a ring, it's not a surprise. Yuu's opponent is such a strange girl. I guess everyone has a reason to enter this tournament but the story feels pretty lackluster to me so far. At least the character roster is diverse enough with different personalities. Music is still pretty decent on most parts to get me hyped for the fights themselves. Jin: Take off your glasses Well, he's got style.
