The episode was really enjoyable for me. There were some flaws... but overall it was nice. So far it looks like it'll be getting an 8/10 from me.

Spoiler for Stakes:

Ohara did a wonderful job voicing Human Beatrice. She sounded so different, much like the character description in the novel. =w=
Young Rosa was awesome, her scene was actually my favorite in this episode (the gray tone made it seem more somber than I would've liked though). I think Koshimizu did a nice job voicing her.

I must say though... that one shot of Beatrice (if you don't know which one I'm talking about, check Marion's review) was just odd and Kanon being taller than her just looks wrong to me for some reason. ^^;

fffs everyone's complaining about the fanservice shot but I thought it was fun. Kanon knows where the goods are. 8D

Everyone's already said what I wanted to so I'll just go ahead and say 8/10, may change after I watch it subbed.

I ~loved~ the stakes' voices, especially when they first appeared and Beezlebub and Asmodeus were talking in unison, it was so cute.

I thought they handled this episode really well, I got chills when they showed Beato's death, just as I did when I read it in the VN. They left out the game music they played when Genji killed Kanon and Shannon, but they included hope, which is one of my favorites, so I can forgive them for it.

also lolboobs.

For this episode...
Spoiler for wtf:

+The fight scene was done well but there could have been less dialogue imo.
+Kanon... bro... nice move...
+The normal voice of human Beato was done well.

-Gohda's death scene could have been better
-I thought they could have ended the episode at a different point but we'll see how next episode is.

10/10

But, she's a tsundere, most likely give Kanon a slap (go back to her room and have fantasies about Kanon doing it again)

Just watched ep 13. The Lucifer/Kanon fight was a bit too short for my taste and they need to work on the choreography.

And was the fanservice really needed? Oh well...

I Like this episode.....ALOT. I love the stakes and I love the fight scene. I thought the face that Beato had during the chess game was really,really strange. I thought Lucifer's boob service was funny, am I the only one who thought that?

It looks weird though. Like she has a twitchy eye. It makes no sense for that scene either - she could have just had a normal look or had both eyes open.

I like how back during the first arc's airing people were saying "What's with this fanservice? Save that for when the stakes show up!" and the like, but now that they've shown up people are complaining about them getting fanservice... I mean seriously, they're the stakes, their outfits just beg for fanservice...

Anyway, nice episode, I like how this arc is turning out, I hope DEEN can keep it up and hopefully they won't have to rush later.

Ah, you beat me to it. The problem isn't the face itself...it's the fact that her face gets stuck that way and doesn't move an inch even though she's talking...

Other than that, great episode. Pretty much everything was done as well as I could imagine it (especially compared to the earlier episodes).

The Gohda scene was okay. It'd be impossible to do any better than that with the time they gave it, and I personally don't mind losing that if it frees up more space for the parts that are actually important.

(And thus, thanks to my laziness in getting around to making an account while I've been lurking for several months, this account has only been made just today.)

A decently-paced episode. Honestly, I don't have much complaints about that this time, especially with how fast previous scenes went. My problem was not in the pacing, however, but the mood of certain scenes.

Spoiler:

Other than that, I don't have many complaints. As for how I think the next episode's pacing should be...

Great episode! I hope DEEN keeps this up until the end of the first season. Just one tiny bit of nitpick from me.

Spoiler for Skipped VN event:

Also, remix of hope and nighteyes is good. I wasn't expecting nighteyes to play seriously.

In my defense, I never wanted fanservice period. But it's to be expected... I just wish that they'd choose more "tasteful" scenes to do it in... but meh... asking for fanservice to be "tasteful" is almost like asking for clean dirt.

Beato's face in that scene just makes me laugh, for reasons that chronotrig said. I was expecting her face to move or something, but it just froze like that... so it looked odd. ^^;
