Perhaps this story is just the other side of DR2. We only got to see what Naegi, Kirigiri, and Togami were up to since the end of DR1, so maybe this will cover what the other survivors like Sho have been up to since then.
I think it's just a common/stock pose by the artist. If I recall correctly, Oogami has done the same pose as well. Last edited by Shadow5YA; 2013-09-28 at 12:29. |

I was actually wondering if that'd be the case, and I think it'd be pretty cool.
I only recall Sakura having that pose as a sprite, and it wasn't really quite the same.. a sprite is kind of different from the nicer looking character art too. Sakura's character picture was her in a fighting pose, iirc. |

Bumping since we've got a new interview with Kodaka (the series' writer) about this game. Admittedly, he doesn't reveal anything new, but at least he hints that there will be new characters appearing, which I'm really looking forward to!

Well, it's been several months, but we FINALLY have a new trailer for the game:
^Nice touch that the trailer starts with the first game's ending. And the end of the trailer gives us silhouettes of the rest of the cast (though the only person I can clearly discern is the one in the wheelchair....). Also, it looks like Fukawa's gameplay is basically Dangan Musou, lol. Oh, and I must say that I looooove that trailer music! |

More info is here!
First and foremost is that we finally have a release date for the Japanese version: September 25! That's only a mere few months away! Dunno how long it'll be before we get news of a localization, though (if we DO get one, anyway). Next up, we're introduced to the kids we previously saw in silhouette form in the trailer I posted above, the "Monokuma Kids". Looks like they're basically the game's main bosses, and they all have RPG-type classes. Design-wise, the priest/monk kid is definitely my favorite. Most of the others basically look like clones of characters from the previous games (especially the pink-haired girl who basically looks like a cross between Junko and Kirigiri, lol ). That wheelchair girl creeps me out, though..... |
