Actually, the gun mount is 310mm+ armor. As a large fixture on the front, they are pretty easy to hit and force a bounce. Also, before sighting mechanics were reworked they were nearly invisible. I used to call them "Stealth Bombers" because how invisible they tended to be. Oftentimes you rammed into one before you saw him.
Also, I'd personally advise against going head to head against any tank destroyer, but I suppose the Object is the weakest one in terms of frontal engagements. Still not recommended though. They are all very weak to artillery. |

Damn, the grinding through M10 Wolverine is painful. I can't do anything when I'm constantly placed in the bottom 5.

I thought that would be the case as it wouldn't be fair after all.
I take it the matchmaking balance is still a little iffy as its really the only thing putting me off playing again at the minute.

Seems that the German E-series is now available on the Supertest server (aka the game test servers only a select few can participate in), from which we get this initial image of the E-50, armed with the 88mm Kwk L100 gun:
(image lifted from official forums) The gun is longer than the E-50 itself

Now for more leaked images of the new German Heavy tanks:
The VK4501 Tiger (P) (Tier VII Heavy Tank): The Tiger (P) is essentially the Tiger with slower acceleration (due to its engine), yet have much thicker hull and turret armor in return. Much thicker front armor - at 200mm thick, the only other tank ingame to have an equivalent thickness of armor at its front is... the Maus. The E-75 (Tier IX Heavy Tank): And the E-75 is a more mobile, more maneuverable version of the VK4502 Ausf.B with slightly less armor but greater engine power. While these values are not final, it's interesting to note that the E-75 and the Tiger (P) pretty much seem to have the same weapons as their same-tier German counterparts, so you're only choosing over the performance of the hull in choosing between the Tiger (P) and Tiger I, or the VK4502 Ausf.B and the E-75.

The Maus's armor is sloped but the Tiger P's armor is not. So it's actually strong but not as strong. It should be much stronger than the Tiger I but weaker than the front of the King Tiger (150mm sloped for about 240 thickness).
Looks like the Tiger P will be a monster. 200 front armor means tier 7 heavy tank guns (USA 105mm, USSR 122mm, Germany long 88) will have tons of trouble penetrating. In fact, I highly doubt the USSR's 122mm guns will be able to penetrate at all at combat distances. But I think the Tiger P will be even slower than the Tiger I. |

I still play, but not as much as I used to:
NA server: Mow_Mow I have almost every tier 9/10 tank (I'm missing T-54, Object 704, AMX-50B and Maus). EDIT: tank-tracker.com is a pretty neat place to track your performance, I think it pulls your latest statistics from the profile page. |

This game has conquered what little life I had.
Nah, it's not that bad, but I do spend quite a bit of time on it. Currently my tanks of note are an ISU-152, Panther, and a T-50. I also have some supporting tanks, namely a Pz IV, SU-85, and a premium heavy tank, the Pz B2, which is seriously overpowered and can't not make a profit when you play it. I did get a Tiger, but it's mostly stock and I won't be grinding it much until I get the E-50, which seems to have a badass gun. My ingame name is LeoXiao; I also use an account by the name of Khanka which technically belongs to my brother but he plays it less than I do. I am in a clan, which is awesome because we can make tank companies in which actual organized strategy and command and control has a role, unlike in random battles. It's a massive improvement and I would totally recommend it (and joining my clan ) |
