The rebels have been busy. The G8 is stalling. Libyan loyalist are busy as well. UN involvement seems to be a damned if you do, damned if you don't prospect right now.

Libyan Navy Attacked by Fighter Jets

"The Libyan opposition website Libya al-Youm is reporting fighter jets from what is
being called the "Free Libyan Air Force" (never heard of it before today) has attacked
the Libyan Navy off Ajdabiya, and 2 Libyan warships are on fire - sinking, while a third

This comes late, seems to be a little bit strange. Why couldn't they attack earlier? (well of course I don't know the circumstances, maybe there are reasons...). Could it also be a 3rd power intervening?

Sounds like a "yeeehaw!!!" brigade of guerrilla jet fighters. Just having them in the air is pretty impressive given the logistics required for it.

While the rest of the world twiddles its thumbs trying to figure out how to avoid getting their hands dirty, these guys swoop in like big damn heroes and provide a huge tactical morale boost to the rebels. I'm not sitting in a movie theatre, am I?

Sounds more like those madmen from SIS or CIA doing the job for them - I would hardly think that the rebels could pull off an airstrike like that.

I'm sad. Now Sarah Palin will have better chances of winning in 2012 (unless there's someone else running for Democrats who seems reliable compared to her).

Palin this Palin that.........

It's all speculation.

I learned my lesson last election cycle, I'm sticking to the primaries and then spending the time reading up on the people until the election. No debate, no convention it;s all a politcal dog and pony show preach to the choir love fest.

Yeah, I suppose I had the wrong idea. Not like I'll be voting (haven't voted even once tbh) but I'll go along with that plan and read up on people before the elections. I'm just tired of hearing her name everywhere.

There is just no way for Sarah Palin to win the Presidency. It would be the best gift Republicans could give to Obama's re-election campaign.

People can hate on Obama all they want but you would have to be really, really delusional to think Palin is the best candidate to "fix" whatever "problems" from Obama.

Honestly tho, I haven't seen much in terms of re-assurance that Obama can win re-elections either way, regardless who his opponents in the campaigns will be.

I'm a Conservative Republican, and I can guarantee you, Sarah Palin will NOT be getting the Republican Nominee. So you don't have to stress out about it.

Well thank goodness for that.
Palin would be as incompetent as Obama is right now, and we cannot handle another 4 years of incompetence.

Honestly though, I'd rather see Ron Paul run.
Yes I know he's deeply controversial, but I'm not seeing anything positive coming out of the economic policies or proposals from either the Dems or the Repubs.

Perhaps its time to give the Libertarians a try?
The fractional reserve banking system is clearly broken, and the fiat money system has run its course, so why not give the liberal-economist types their day and give their economic proposals a whirl.
We're already in debt up to our eyeballs, it's not like they're going to make it any worse than the corporatist Repubs or pseudo-socialist Dems (unless you're a billionaire international-banker).

Joe Manchin is a rising favorite of mine right now.
The man seems like an actual Liberal, and that's rare these days.
If he ran for President on the Democratic ticket, I would certainly vote for him.

Not gonna happen (unfortunately). The finals are always traditionally between Republicans and Democrats v_v

Hadron Collider 'could act as telephone for talking to the past'

"Spurs-a-jingle boffins in America say that the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), most
puissant matter-rending machine ever assembled by humanity, may also turn out
to be the first time machine ever built. According to the physicists' calculations,
instruments at the mighty particle-smasher may soon detect signs of "singlets"
which it has not yet generated, sent back from their creation in the future.

"Our theory is a long shot," admits physics prof Tom Weiler, "but it doesn’t violate
any laws of physics or experimental constraints.""
