I feel their pain, it's like me having a shortage of imported Chinese spices. I stop cooking and gradually decay into my carpet., but LOL $2900 minimum bid for an opened jar of sandwich spread.

Norse mice invading north-western europe (from the same place, not an invasion but more like a coming-out-of-the-closet) and banging up all the lady-mice.
Actually, the article talked about mitochondrial DNA - and that only comes from the mother.

Northern China... Are you sure those weren't marauding Mongol mice?

Wouldnt a Marmite shortage make the Hobbit a rather different film?

An entire filming production...without their Marmite. With maybe 100 days or so left to shoot.

Growing up in a Seventh Day Adventist school I was subjected to that very thing. Movies were made about it. "D&D is the Devil's work!" and "D&D is the path to evil!" and "Dragons don't exist!" yadda yadda yadda.

It actually made me want to go play D&D because it looked pretty fun

If dragons don't exist, what the hell did Saint Georges do?

All silliness aside, this is dumb that they even think this. Actual trans people typically play games as the gender they identify with most... the last thing they would want would be for the less-than-accepting pile of nerds on the average MMO server from getting that juicy bit of gossip.

Well that also spawned the now classic radio version of "Dungeons and Dragons: Satan's Game?" skit.

I recall some going a far as to label Proctor and Gamble satanic due to their old logo and wild rumors of something from a daytime talk show. Even when I was in elementary school in the 80s. I looked, what I saw looked like a Taoist chi symbol. Which I think the rally small vesion did look like. The actual was a man in the moon looking into a field of stars.

One word: "Titanoboa". Yes, scientists seriously combined the words "titan" and "boa", as in "constrictor". What do you think THAT means?

The biggest nightmare ever in the New York City sewer system A snake 50 feet long and 3 feet thick.

The full-size robot simulation sounds interesting - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanoboa

IRL FPK? It's not new to me; high-stakes LAN games often wind up with a heated argument or worse, fistfights. This one has gotten too far:
