Mainly did not want to talk to much since my memory on history is a little vague. I still remember something about the Baptist church bombing but... The difference between Black Bullet and pre-WW2 Germany is, a lot of Germans had had a meeting with a Jewish banker or business owner that left them dissatisfied. Plus, Jews had different customs, so they were a "foreign" element, even if they'd been there for generations. And antisemitism was nothing new, so there'd been a long tradition to raise kids on. All that adds up to it being very easy to blame a thousand personal (and not so personal) failures on them, or some other vulnerable group.

But Cursed Children are their own children, who never did anything to them. It could be anyone's child. I've heard guys like Tendo all lost friends, family, or their homes to Gastra - but Cursed Children are no different. The Gastrea stole their future. And those lackwits want to finish the job? It doesn't make sense, not even by the KKK's standards of sense. Of course, there's always the old standby of "God hates them". But it's not like they're Cursed because they did something religious conservatives disapprove of. Unlike HIV, there's no correlation with promiscuity or toxicomany. They were born that way. Innocent and cursed all the same. So no, it's not that hard to imagine Hitler watching those guys and asking "what the hell is wrong with you?".

And another point: if that blogger still harbors a belief in the fundamental decency of human beings and can't imagine so many of them victimizing little girls just to feel like big men... maybe you'd want to leave him that illusion? There are worse ones to have, and it's not a tragedy if he doesn't love Black Bullet. It's just an anime series.

All this discussion about pairing, can the Cursed Children even have children when they mature? Also, considering all Cursed Children are females, will their children be female as well? If that is the case, the human race will eventually become extinct, unless they start cloning or whatnot (which, since they can't even develop an artificial kidney for kidney transplants, I'm dubious of their genetic technologies).

Well, it depends. But keep in note that because the virus is in their bodies, they'll eventually turn into a Gastrea. The corrosion rate varies from child to child, but it's a chronic condition. However, if they use their superhuman abilities such as super healing, strength, and agility a lot (like most cursed children who work as initiators, then their corrosion rate will be very high), then it will definitely accelerate the corrosion rate and the virus in their bodies. Most cursed children who don't work as Initiators will have low corrosion rates while those who do (like Enju and Tina) have a higher corrosion rate.

The anime doesn't fully state why the cursed children are always female, there are only theories and such. I could say that if the cursed children do bear children, then their offspring will most likely be cursed children themselves (in other words other females).

That being said, if you going to have reproduction, you at least need a male partner. And because all the cursed children are female, then the chances of reproduction is impossible unless if the cursed children have self-reproduction ability like some mammals and fish species do.

In terms of genetic technologies, I could say the idea of cloning cursed children may be possible like you mentioned. In fact, if there are any chance of a male cursed children in the series, male cursed children will most likely be clones of the actual female cursed children with the sole purpose of reproduction with the female cursed children (as well as a possible full "turning into Gastrea" immunity if the clone's corrosion rate hits critical level). Note that opposite-sex cloning has been done in the past with many animals, and it's possible that the technology will be advanced enough in the setting to create male cloned cursed children from the females.

Considering that at the school we see roughly the same amount of boys and girls and that ''normal'' girls are numerous enough to have sappy anime shows marketed at them, I'm not sure that cursed children are a large percentage.

Also, it's not like there is an ''uptake'' of new CC : the bulk of them are born of mothers that were pregnant during the War (which leads to a not terribly subtle parallelism with a certain type of warcrime, but let's not dwelve on that)

Well, I did had a "Launcher of a Thousand Ships" trope in the YMMV page for this series in regards in Rentaro if you ask me. But for some reason, there was another person who decided to remove that trope in the YMMV page.

Oh yeah, because not a lot of people seem to be actively editing the Heartwarming, Tear Jerker, and Funny TV Tropes pages, I wondering if you guys add some scenes that will fit into these categories. Be sure to read those pages first before making suggestions.

I completely agree. I just closed that tab and just done with it. He felt that the anime was a "loli shitfest" and another person on that same blog who agrees with him also said that it's an anime so discrimination like this portrayed in here cannot be realistic. Wut? Whatever.

Anyway, I'm surprised about the support for Seitenshi! Somehow I did not expect there will be fans of hers too but glad to see some.

Considering how young cursed children are and the fact that they most likely end turning into Gastera before reaching puberty I doubt many people are interested in their reproduction.

For the cloning, I would guess that unlike 90% of vilains in such setting, people came to the surprising conclusion that hyper-evolutionnary viruses that transform Humans more or less quickly in eddritch abominations is not a good product when the said eddritch abominations dominate most of the world and have killed well over the three fourths of the human population (1): besides, it seems that cursed childs are much more numerous than Promoters.

Every child is a potential serial killer. That's no reason to give every child the electric chair. Unlike bankers, they never had the opportunity to make evil choices.

If there are steps to take for public safety, do so. But any hate is unwarranted. And it's never really about safety. That's a completely hypocritical rationalization.
