Once, for revenge, I macroed something into my lightning bolt spell (something like: Taste Thunder! Pew pew!"). Note that I hit the lightning bolt button about 50 billion times in a given battle. Yeah... people told me to turn that off pretty quickly, although we had a good laugh about it afterwards. More on topic, I'm not an RPer, but I don't have any problems with people who do (other than the spam problem as mentioned). I kinda like doing things like saluting Thrall, cowering from Arthas, commenting on Brann's discoveries in HoS, etc. Other people sometimes play along, or say things like "shut up and give me the treasure box," which I guess is a kind of playing along. |

Did a lot of stuff in the Guide program though, that was a lot of fun. Was good to get a bunch of people interested in an event who went along with it, but was also fun just interacting with people and watching/talking. Well when their wasn't any petitions to answer QQ. Kinda glad there isn't anything like that in WoW though. The system sounds good in theory but had its faults in practice. I found the text macro's in WoW to be really annoying, because people spam the hell out of their buttons. In EQ I did it for a couple of my spells on my Wizard. Like the big stuff, like Manaburn and Ice Comet (back when it was the shit) oh and Supernova, I just loved the name of that spell. Disintegrate, was cool too but didn't use that much... mainly cause unlike most games Disintegrate in EQ worked as the name advertises and it didn't leave much (anything) to loot. Although I do say to myself when I use Raise Dead or Army of the Dead "Rise my servant. Rise and fight once more!"... I think I've seen too much of Noth. Mmm got a little off track there! In short I'm a big fan of story driven stuff such as the Brann event and the Wrathgate event, random fighting for the next shiny is kinda boring/disappointing to me. Any RP is usually a spur of the moment purely casual thing these days lasting only a minute or so, WoW just lacks the... environment... for RP like in classic RPG's and I think I have grown out of it over time.

I never macro any ability that doesn't have a cooldown. And I even have a separate non-macroed Raise Dead for raids, where I usually end up using it multiple times per encounter, depending on the boss.
Any ability that doesn't have a cooldown is an ability that gets spammed, and macroes become annoying when spammed. However, if it has a cooldown that is 5 minutes or higher, you can count on it that I have a macro for it. I can't wait until the next patch, when Raise Ally is a separate spell. My guildies will be wanting to release as soon as possible, unless they want to be Ghouled. >:3 "You serve ME now, %t!" And Dua is wearing Minion's Bracers too. Oh delicious Irony. >:3 |

I basically use macros to cut down on keybinds, stuff like mouseover targeting, or convenience (all in one pet macro). I usually don't put any flavor text into them, although I have considered making a Hysteria macro that sends an appropriate whisper (Go baby, go?) to the recipient. Oh well, not like that I'm Blood that often anyways.
On the DK front, I'm still waiting for a new ring, cloak, and the damn sigil off of Heigan. The last DK who got it is almost always DW spec now so that makes me sad. On the plus side, I have a completed Nobles deck and 4pc T7 (the bonus is hax). Also 8-manned regular Naxx last night and almost got The Undying except our tank pulled KT while someone was afk and he got killed by the spawning Aboms... Goals now are to finish up BS and Sons of Holdir rep (can't wait till we can trade relics for rep...).

And speaking of /spit, I had a special one reserved for this guy too when I finally managed to bring him down solo: Spoiler for nerf dk?:
Yeah, I know it's not really a big deal and that tons of other people have done it, but I was fairly impressed with myself pulling it off 2 levels below him wearing greens. And yeah I am using the default interface there, complete with abilities randomly thrown around everywhere. (But yes I use keybinds) |

Yeah, you did. There's a teleporter that takes you to a different place based on faction. Alliance gets that awesome fight against him at the top of the necropolis to help Thassarian save his overdramatic sister, Horde just wanders into another part with no scripting or voice acting whatsoever and kills him. Guess that just proves how gar my DK really is though, who needs Thassarian, just kill him 1 on 1.

Problem on Proudmoore you'd have to go looking for the Horde its like they are an endangered species, usually don't see them without 4+ stacks of Tenacity!
(not that I go to Wintergrasp lol other then to go to the raid there!)
