hmm actually I partially saw this coming... the entire time Asgard has pretty much on even grounds with appachi. If another of the dark masters lost utterly and completely then they would have essentially lost face as a viable threat considering 3 have been beaten already. So honestly I'm kinda glad the mangaka pulled this option, obviously it won't end at this but if apachi flat out won then it would have been too predictable for koukin/kenchi's fight result.

I honestly did not expect this. Of course, with the backstory and all Agaard was revealed to be superior, but with Apachai being a Ryouzanpaku Master now, I thought he'd have the DEM to beat everyone like the other masters do.

Awesome!

I hope Apachai dies, or atleast won't be able to fight ever again, for the good of the story.

Just too unbalanaced if the Ryo-masters were to win all the time, that would make no sense.

I think it's a double KO, I think Asgaard bit the farm as well.

I don't think he recieved a deathly hit as it was not Apachai' intention to kill Agaard, but I think his arm was injured. So maybe he will lose that arm.

I actually think Apachai held back at the last second. That's how it didn't connect, while Agaard had every intent to kill...

Well there is the whole thing about the Satsujin-ken vs. Katsujin-ken.

Apachai would not kill but not Agaard, he went for the kill. Certainly we can see that Apachai's attack landed, to be honest, we don't know the outcome, Koukin could be just bluffing.

It's just natural actually that with both fighters about the same level that the one with the complete killing intent wins.

I guess when good fighters that have about the same level fight at their best , the one that has to hold back for some reason has to lose

Im still sad for Apachai if in indeed dies from that that is , Asgaard doesnt seem to have received a blow from the same violence

but Im glad the whole Satsujinken vs Katsujinken makes sense sometimes even though its a shounen

Ma and Akisame will patch him up and he'll be as good as new, afterall they are able to resurrect the dead proven by Kenichi.

If I remember my fighting shonen rules, a blow through the heart or head is insta-kill. If not, "'Tis but a scratch," so to speak.

Well, Matsuena already make that point clear in Miu's case... i keep reading this for the only reason to see Miu fighting from the "Dark Side"

yup... and honoka's dream is a death flag too.

But, as a Shonen, Matsuena could manage Apachai's death.

I thought the disciple who Kenichi duelled to the death in the DD tournament said that when Kenichi was unconsious but still fighting, that he was MUCH stronger because he wasn't holding himself back?

If Kenichi really does lose it and isn't concerned with holding himself back for fear of killing/permanently crippling his opponent, i can see Koukin getting roflstomped.

What I'd like to see Koukin get is Kenichi's Korui Nikui to the knee... definitely will result in a shattered bone.

But then it would still be a defeat for Katsujinken.

Unless Apachai's heart is somewhere other than the left side of his chest, I don't see a way out of this.

Not necesarally... i don't know if you are saying that for die... but if that is the case, i can remember Miu's mom case. I think that Katsujinken do accept death and defeat, what they don't accept is to kill as the right path for a martial artist.

Did you see Sakaki's trick against the lancer guy?...

Ahh... forgot something, just in case, don't forget that Apachai is a Dou type, not Sei as Kenichi
