07-GHOST anime

I remember in an episode there's a scene where Teito yells at Frau for some reason and Frau pins him down next to the fountain by putting his hand on his face and Teito is all sad and stuff. I can't remember which episode that's from. Does anyone know?

YES!!! I have officially finished watching the 07-Ghost anime! It's great, and I didn't mind the ending. Though that one part with the flashback with Teito under slavery was creepy (do they ever show his time under slavery and his killing people in both the anime or manga? I don't see it anywhere).

I recall a scene in the manga where he is a little, enslaved killing kid but it was a bit farther down the line than when it appeared in the anime I think (but it is canon in any case).

I like 07 Ghost as an Anime. Personally I've never read the manga and I won't read it also..
The anime has a "nice orb" to it..though I can't stand the fact their isn't much females in the anime and how Teito becomes really close to basically all the males in the anime. Though I have to favor Frau and Mikage..they rock o:

One of my favorite anime and I really do hope for a second season since they have enough manga material for another 25-26 episode run. My favorite character is Mikage I just love how he thought of Teito as his family and he would do anything to protect him then he........damn you Ayanami and yet why can't I hate you after that?? Well anyways I found this neat AMV. Oh and I also loved the plot, music, and the characters I would recommend this show to anyone and I really do hope they will continue on with the anime since the manga gets better later on and would be awesome if it was to be animated.

What exactly was going on in Bastien's mind in the events leading up to his death?

He deliberately hinted to Teito and Hakuren about his role in the murders of the criminals. From Frau's words, it seems like Bastien took this route in order to exonerate him, and that he chose saving Frau over completing his mission. But, did he know that Frau was one of the 7 Ghosts? That Frau (or someone) would show up in time to save Teito? Were the events that happened according to plan, or was it just "happy" circumstance that Frau showed up to save the day?

It was a plan. From luring Teito and Hakuren underground, to the appearance of Frau. And from what I've noticed, Bastien is under Warsphile control, and from Wikipedia article, Bastien is a spy under Ayanami. Though I don't know how it all happened, it was against Bastien's will to harm Teito, but being a user of black magic and is unable to control it, Frau had no choice but to kill his mentor, and with killing him, it's not just him who will be saved, but the entire Church.

Bastien knew all along that Frau is one of the Seven Ghosts, of course.
