Fiiiiinally my soundtrack arrived after a killer wait. It's cram-packed full of bgm and short songs, including the aforementioned piano performances by thighs, I mean, Maki. While I cannot really distinguish the individual tracks, they are all very nice. Love Live has surprisingly good bgm. I feel as if the composer put more effort into it than a typical show. Perhaps I just feel that way because all the tracks are pleasant- there are no tracks that are deliberately jarring. Or perhaps the producer realized that good bgm is important for an idol show and compensates for the low number of performances.
I immediately discovered that I cannot distinguish the singers on the individual EDs; I will have to train to recognize them. I did not get any 1st press bonuses, as they were sold out at the time. That's typical. I'm not even sure how I managed to get an early printing bonus for Idolmaster 2... possibly it was sealed inside the game case itself? |

On a side note, got my Kamipara character songs feat M's. Quite surprised me at first after listening to each song, instead of using the VA's names on the tracklists' singer like the usual single/album, they use each of M's members' name for the singer... judging from it (and the album title, which has 'Love Live!' words there), probably a tactic to increase the sale number. I see what you did here, Lantis... The character songs are kinda out of my expectation. Each character song is really good. Already looping them several time especially the ones sung by Honoka, Maki and Eri. Not to mention that they did a great job to make the songs suit each M's member. Somehow it makes me wonder if the songs are actually Love Live! Character Songs instead of Kamipara.

The one episode where everybody in Muse went around with Nico-style surgical masks on reminded me of a certain very famous music artist. Now, I have an admittedly very basic, but hopefully also amusing, Love Live! AMV done to one of his most famous songs. Video can be found and downloaded at the link below.
Muse Jackson - Smooth Criminal.
