I think it'd have been funnier seeing her still awake, although completely pissed and slurring/half-sobbing about how she didn't have any friends except Karura - the whole nine yards for the depression-drowning drunkard stereotype. Quote:

Besides it only works in that chamber...I don't see her making a trip to Onkamiyamukai everytime she's frustrated or, erm...oh, well...damn you! You contaminated me! BTW, I found the confrontation between Mutsumi and Aruruu a bit ironic...self-appointed daughter vs. self-appointed daughter... (Well, in fact, there is more to it than meets the eye but I don't know whether the staff bothered to answer a specific issue about why Hakuoro considers Eruruu and Aruruu family)... Spoiler for issue at hand - game spoiler:

Well dang, this episode has a lot of ups and downs. I expected a few things to happen, but there are other things that was like, "hey, you're not suppose to say that!"
One thing that really drew my mind as the credits rolled was how completely botched this is compared to the game. But this isn't (and shouldn't be) a comparison between the two forms. In my objective viewpoint, the telling of this episode was superb. Click on the spoiler below to read on. = | Spoiler for Ok:
Presentation-wise, it's good. I can't complain about the pacing of the episode. The animation was good (a couple of reused shots but whatever), the CG (god, the doors. The goddamn doors! People need to learn to do it right!) was sub-par. It's not perfect, but it's nothing I'd have to twist my stomach around to watch. Story delivery was where this episode shined. We saw almost everybody trying to cope with the situation brought on by the previous episode, nobody was out of character, people had their "defining moments" for lack of a better word. I was thoroughly entertained, sufficiently creaped out, and empathized with the characters when the time came. Episode 25 is botched. Totally botched, but it's a botch that works for the emphasis of on-screen drama. Though I don't like having so many new questions being brought out this close to the end of the series. And I'll admit, I had some preconceptions as to what was going to happen and was disappointed when those expectations didn't arrise (sounds like everyone else here!). But I'll be generous with 25, and we'll see how good the producers resolve things in 26. 9/10 Spoiler for dang it!:

Did they get a new VA just to do Kuuya's psycho-moe voice?
Speaking of psycho-moe, I have a feeling they borrowed a Higurashi animator to animate Hakuoro's angry shouting to Dii for that one little portion. My prediction: Spoiler for if you take this seriously, you fail at life:
Alternate title for this episode: The new wave of psycho-moe--I can't believe it's not loli!

so that's why there's a lot of those strange humans with animal-like ears. but that happens long ago no? makes you wonder how old really hakuoro is. i feel sorry about kuuya regressing to a toddler state. only one more to go!

Exactly, Cyz. This anime (and the game), unfortunately, is very sketchy when it comes to establishing points in time when things occur and how long they occur. The rebellion to turn Kenashi Kouru Pe into the country of Tousukuru could've been weeks, months, years. The Na Tunk uprising could've been two days or two-hundred. How long between the Iceman events and episode I too, we don't know, and may never know. When I give my overall analysis of the the anime once Utawarerumono is over, I'll comment further. =x

It can't be that long since after all these episodes, Aruruu is still nice and loli-rific.
Of course, who knows if the demi humans evolved to age slower? On a lighter note, Oboro's great great great great great great great great grandfather!
