Because it got a subforum and most people shifted to posting in other threads?

No, it's not just you.

The first episode was largely nauseating to me, and I did the start/stop thing with it for reasons similar to your own. The 2nd episode wasn't quite as bad, because it had a scene or two that hinted at the writing for the show being clever and imaginative, but the first two episodes of this show were generally off-putting to me. If not for the strong encouragement I received from two or three good friends here on AS, I doubt I would have soldiered through to Episode 3.

The 3rd episode is when this anime delved into something much more than just generic harem anime fanservice-fest, imo.

Naturally, the story has a happy ending. After surviving that unforgiving barrier to entry, I have reached the warm, gooey center, and oh, it is delicious. I remain utterly baffled (from a marketing standpoint, at least) by how brutally unlikable the cast was portrayed as at the beginning, but all is forgiven now.
It might be sad to say, but I think marketing is the answer for why the first two episodes are the way they are.

I just realized the residents of Sakurasou each has dream or hobby related to the otaku culture. Maybe someday they will be working together on a series franchise.

- Mashiro will make the manga version
- Misaki & Jin will be working on the anime version
- Sorata will be working on the game version
- Nanami will be providing character voices
- Ryuunosuke will be involved in internet-related stuff and continue be a hikikomori

Does anyone know which is closer to the actual light novel? The Anime or the Manga? Quite a few differences between the two.

In the Anime Misaki when he woke Mashiro up she was completely nude. Now in the manga she has a shirt on just no panties. Also in the Anime he had to find her clothes for her to wear but again in the manga all he did was brush out her hair and leave when she started to remove her shirt to get dressed.

So the manga has her as not the clueless type girl. In this case I really prefer the Anime over the manga which is usually not the case.

They're getting up there with the release of their interactive video game "Galactic Cat Nyaboron".

I can't say I'm surprised. As cute as Mashiro is, she needs to be taught everything and dating her would probably be a lot of hard work. Most of the other girls can take care of themselves and have additional qualities men would refer (like being a good cook, rich, etc.), so I can easily see them going for those faster than a girl who (almost literally) needs to be spoon-fed everything.

10000 Otakus voting to get Valentines chocolate from imaginary girls...that says a lot...
I don't know why but i remebered this guy that married his pillow or this other guy with videogame girlfriend. It's funny and sad at the same time.

Well I just saw the DVD/Bluray sale and it's...quite low isn't it?

I know it is a two cour so we don't have the problem of losing the second season due to low discs sale, but it's still...quite bad.

I prefer this one than that other anime JC Staf are doing *cough*Little Busters! *cough*, but I guess the result is logical, since it doesn't have such a stroung fanbase.

The reason for low sales are f*cking nationalistic otakufats who boycotted sales due to changing one food to korean brodel or somesh*t.
I bet sales would be around 5-6k if not this retardness.

Exactly. Changing food caused mad otakufats to rate BDs on Amazon with 1star.
