You haven't taken note of what the ANN page actually says for Guin Saga.
They do not state that it is only 13 episodes, what they do say is Episode titles: We have 13. Take a look at a series like Clannad After Story, there they say Number of episodes: 24 Episode titles: We have 24 Nowhere on the Guin Saga page do they list Number of episodes, that's because at this point in time they do not know and they make no claim that it will be 13 or any other number. It may well be only a 13 episode season but please do not blame ANN for something they haven't said. |

I am more concerned over how much they will take to cover the five first books that is basically the first "arc". First episode is like what? The first quarter or third of the first book?

I enjoyed the first episode of this immensely, one of the best of the season if you ask me. Lovely characters (well, except for the "little" brother) and what seems to be a grand world to explore. I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing more of this.

I read on the official Adult Swim Message Board that Cartoon Network may be trying to aquire this series for their saturday morning cartoon block. I hope it's correct as Cartoon Network really needs more anime to air, it's as if they have a problem with anime or something. Either way, I will watch the first episode tommorrow when I have time because I heard this is going to be a good series (hopefully).

Watched the first episode. The first three or so minutes seemed awfully rushed, but the rest was good. The music was especially nice, although I was kind of expecting that anyway.
Also, something tells me I'm the only person who isn't going to be that annoyed by Remus. He may be a whiner and a coward, but I've known enough real people who act that way that they just don't bother me anymore.

He is a sheltered noble, a bit spoiled, who got thrown to early against the hardships of life. Oh, and he is a child. So, I am not that annoyed. I think that his flawed character gives a reason to turn to Guin, and gives a counterbalance to Linda's headstrong personality. Guin is that monolithic figure that the twins turned to when things have gotten grim for them. Their relationship and chemistry reminds me a bit of Kenshiro, Lynn and Bart from Fist of the North Star. While their personality (especially Bart and Remus) are not the same, the chemistry is close.

Not annoyed either. It's only been a few days since they started living on their own so his attitude is actually believable. He may be hesitant and off in some of his actions but he handles everything in stride. He just looks less mature when compared to his sister.

I just recently watched the first episode. I really enjoyed it! Guin seems a very mysterious character to me and I look forward to seeing how the story unravels. Not so keen on the children at the moment, what part they will play in all this, who knows. As I said on my blog, my gripe was with Guin's mouth movements, which I found to be awfully distracting.
Also is the ending theme singer an unknown singer? Or just unknown to me I have never heard of Kanon and am in love with the song. Didn't find a release date for the single anywhere either. |

This series seems to have a lot of promise, considering what I have seen so far in episode 1. The scenary animation is beautiful, and Guin seems intriguing a character. Linda is a strong character, which I like (although Lacus hater might hate her). Lemus is the opposite of a righteous, good guy (anti-Kira), so he is a bit of a realist, but someone I would not like. Hey, if he is to become king one day, I hope he grows into a good one.
Btw, what happened to the older brother? Did he die or just fell from 20 stories, and we don't know his fate? A lot of interesting series this season, and this one seems like a keeper.

I've just watched the first episode (late, I know) and it seems pretty good so far. A classic fantasy scenario with classic characters, animated well and with good voice acting, I'm watching this. Guin's voice is very well done.

I just finish the first episode and it was very good, i will watch this show, for sure!
Music by Uematsu is not bad and ending is just... freaking awesome, one of the best i ever heard. Wow... I already heard some Kanon's song but no one is as good as this one! "This is my road!!" Omg that's killing me... So good! I want the complete song! I'm in love too! The pacing of episode 1 is good, and i hope this show will have a good storyline so it can be one of the best show of this year. Chara design and animation wasn't bad too.

Definitely liked it more than I was expecting to. For some reason I was kind of expecting to end up being disappointed with this initial episode but instead I'm interested in what will happen with the story. It has plenty of familiar elements but is compelling enough overall.

Man... those Super Ninja Black Knights are frightening!
... But not as frightening as a demon awakening with organ pipes blowing and choir singing, directed by Nobuo Uematsu JUST TO ANNOUNCE YOUR ARRIVAL. Holy shit did those guys get FUCKED! |

I liked the first episode, although the rushed pacing of the first half made it less epic which is in contrast with Uematsu's music. I don't think much of the voice acting so far, then again that always happens when I watch most anime, but I'm willing to ignore that for now. Decent fantasy beginning, will watch the next episode.
