hmm the silhouette does look like it has a little hump in the chest area and in the first opening Himegami had ribbons in her/his hair.

That was the basis of my theory, the ribbon combined with the fact that he's (unexpectedly) shorter than Hayate in the opening. Add that to the fact that they just introduced the show's first female butler......foreshadowing? Also, for even stronger evidence, a Himegami is a female kami.

Well, the one thing that could put an end to all this "Himegami is girl" stuff is when Maria said, "Himegami-kun." I think this debunks this theory.

Both actually I've never saw Tenchi Muyo, so I wouldn't know about it...

Not exactly, females can also be called '-kun', though this is rarely used...

Exactly. Also, nobody said that they would have to know that he/she was female, look at how confusing Sion was, the only way anybody watching would know that she was female was because they said so. It could also be that that was just their personal way of addressing him/her.

Being a butler could qualify as a sort of business setting.

Perhaps there's a different reason they call him Hayate-kun.

Though I'm not really sure, some characters call Hina, Hinagiku-kun. I think Yukiji does. I thought it was strange at first.

Well that's strange. Maybe Yukiji is really an old man

Hmm, yet another clue. I didn't notice this before, I'll have to rewatch the series.

Chiharu Harukaze's seiyuu is Ayumi FUJIMURA, also known for doing Ayano from Kaze no Stigma. Not a bad choice, pretty good and fits her tsundere maid personality she's shown in chapters of the manga, ahaha.

Sorry for the double post but since second season has been announced, we may as well discuss the matter.

In the back seats, two characters that appeared in the manga recently apparently. Hopefully we'll see more of the development and characters when 2nd season hits.

It's one thing for sure, since they made a huge time skip and several flash back that has yet been shown in the anime.
