Goodbye, ActSta.

I heard they would revamp the Nendo style, starting with that new Saber. Also, Yoshika getting another Nendo? C'mon! The other girls, please.

Another video review of not-Springer-honest.

This one is more of an uncut deal, compared to the last one - as you can see!

@OMOCHIKAERI!:
I'd like to request a pic of Major from behind, if it's no trouble.

BRS nendo and figma pre-orders should be out
nendo
figma
I'm grabbing both, the figma is pretty damn high quality for the price (and not so blatantly stripperific as the blade ver) while the nendo is just (...) LOOK AT IT!

What about it? I was expecting better, something more creative - and not just for the base
So I'll pass on the nendo but pre-ordered the figma

I think Goodsmile is really on an insane roll, I can imagine myself going bankrupt because of them in the future lol

Just this week I've already ordered these:

BlazBlue Continuum - PS3 Game + Petit Nendoroid
Puchi Nendoroid - Quiz Magical Academy (Limited Edition)
Puchi Nendoroid - Touhou Project set #1 (Limited Edition)
Nendoroid Racing Miku (7,000 yen course)
Nendoroid Black Rock Shooter

Then this week I just heard they've announced these:

Nendoroid Saber Full Action version (new type of Nendoroid that's posable like Figma)
Queen's Blade Nendoroids
Lucky Star Street Fighter IV Nendoroids

I've already stopped collecting anything besides Goodsmile and MaxFactory figures. If this goes on, I'll probably collect only Nendoroids and Figmas. If I don't go bankrupt in the future, I may open a gallery of my Nendoroid and Figma collection lol

Wait a gosh darn minute! I thought you had to be a sponsor of the racecar thing to get this, and the sponsorship tiers started in the hundreds of dollars. Or did you middleman + YJA or some variant.

Sponsorship levels don't start at the hundreds...

As much as I love Miku, I think she's getting milked way too much. You can't even go into a figurine store without tripping over 30 different Miku figures anymore.

Yes, we have some awesome shops here in Singapore, they get great stuff every now and then.

I agree, she is getting milked.... I watched that concert recently, she 'sang' the SEGA sound. I really didn't like that.

Despite that, I do like that she's getting some decent figures, because I like to own them.

There's no doubt that she's spawned many very well made figures. I even own several of them myself, but eh....

Actually there isn't really that much Miku figures yet, nowhere near what Ikkitousen, Haruhi, Fate/Stay Night and Nanoha has generated and certainly far from Evangelion's.

Miku has only around 10 figures that you buy in regular shops, another 10 - 15 more that are exclusive and limited figures.

I've stopped collecting Haruhi figures for a year or 2, but I've already got like 50 individual Haruhis, 30 Yukis and 30 Mikurus.

I think Miku's got a cute character design and the fanart and the figures that's spawned are quite nice.

I do wish companies would move on though. Make me more Horos! Alter needs to make a Horo, and Max Factory. Then I think I'll be good. Cospa, Taki, GSC, Kotobukiya and Volks have all done one, need some from the other companies.

Man, higher tiers have good stuff on top of the Nendo. DO WANT the jacket and bag, but not enough to justify ~$500.
A buddy of mine suggested we split buying this stuff among others and take what we want. The potential in-fighting makes this prospect a little silly.

You certainly do have a point on the amount of figures released for those said franchises. I think you can make an army with just the Haruhi figure releases alone. Maybe it just feels as if countless Miku figures have been released as of late. Since in the span of just a little more than a year, we've been bombarded by 20+ Miku figurine releases in rapid succession. Ah well, time to just enjoy the ride I guess.

Thing about the series you've mentioned is they don't seem too particular about who carries the license to make products (see sader). Wouldn't blame Yamaha/Crypton Future Media for keeping a tight reign on Miku.

I guess the companies are somewhat careful about what they release of her, not knowing how well would they sell. As far as I know, Miku doesn't have a set personality that would make her a Really memorable character and all of her clothes are based on fanarts.

Take me for example, as a "figure collector" I only buy her in her official/original dress and not interested in collecting anything else of her

I bought "World is Mine" Miku and just reviewed "original" Miku by GSC today.

I also have Kagamiku, does she count as Hatsune Miku?

But she definitely has the issue of being only a cute figure, and nothing more. There's no personality or story that can endear her to you.

Curious, is there any/much official art of Miku?
