It's selling very well. Vol. 1 BD sold about 19k copies in it's first week. Don't forget CDs, comics and other stuff that Degenki's put into this.

Blu ray wise, LL is on top and there's a big gap between 1st and 2nd in sales alone. It's not even close.

Season 2 Nao.

I want to see Honoka, Maki, and Kotori's mom make a pv version of start:dash.

The 6th pv was announced after the episode ended on Japanese TV which you probably didn't see if you saw subbed versions of the episode. Details on here (if you read and understand Japanese).

Just to reinforce what others have said, the dvd/blu rays of the series so far have sold pretty well, so it'd be unusual if they don't have a second season.

I was really hoping for a remake of Wonderful Rush considering they were at the airport for some of the episode. I hope they bring out another set of character CDs so that all of µ's can have their own versions of Mogyutto and Wonderful Rush =w= Maybe even Start : Dash and Susume Tomorrow. Though I doubt it, a man can only hope...

okay cool. Ty.

https://bandaivisual.com/enquete/form/fm/ec/lovelive_5

There's even a voting poll for it too!

Somebody pass this around.

Kotori, Niko, and Honoka were center in the last 5 pvs.

I think it's time for Maki-sama chance to be center!

Let's go, Japan!

Spoiler for Make this PV happen too, Sunrise!:

- I love how you're posting in this thread the first time solely to bash a character. Really I do.

Kotori is clearly madly in love with Honoka. She folded like a house of cards over just a few choice words from Honoka.

Seriously, if Honoka was male, those Honoka/Kotori scenes are instantly recognized as the most sappy romance scenes ever. The guy stops his girlfriend from flying off to another country by expressing his passionate desire for her and him to stay together and pursue their dreams together. And then the girl just instantly drops everything, and decides at the last moment that she just can't stand to be separated from the man she loves. Plane flies off without her. This is classic romance that goes way, way, way back into the ancient annals of Hollywood.

I agree. It was like a black and white film in the 50's.

Plus, that glomp was filled with passionate yuri love. lol

Kotori, I'm sorry!

"I want to be (removed > a school idol) together with you"

"Don't go~"

Maybe a good thing I watched the last couple episodes together. Things really did hit a low point there. Of course wasn't all that surprised. Honoka first had to feel the pain of her own mistakes costing them at the performance which cost them a chance at Love Live. Then Kotori's bombshell really hit her hard for a few reasons and well we all know where it went from there. I suppose it wasn't bad for Honoka to have to really think about herself and what she wants to do. A chance to reaffirm her passion for singing.

Of course kind of wanted to say props to Nico for saying "I don't care how many people leave, I'm keeping this thing going!" I think after how far they came she'd keep going even if she was the last one standing.

In the end Kotori did need someone to just say "you need to stay." Her Mom was fine with her making her own decisions, Umi even was holding herself back from outright saying it. Sometimes being too respectful can be a problem. Even Kotori knew that she didn't want to go. Just needed someone to pull her arm.

All in all not a bad way to wrap things up. Major crisis dealt with and the group is back and fired up.

well theres not much to say about this anime, i watched it all, i liked it but the only song i liked was the susume one, maki was adorable and honoka was pretty good too, the president was annoying though i hate her character early in the series and the later half didnt change my opinion of her at all.
i havent post after every ep, cause honestly....there was nothing to say, the anime was ok but nothing to write home about.

I wonder if the English subs have anything to do with it? I would buy the BDs, but they are still too dam expensive even though the yen drop dramatically.

No. Any English subs in a JP release hardly increase the numbers. It would mean a few more importers like us are willing to pick it up but I doubt the numbers are significant. The release is mainly aimed at the Japanese market.

Useless information:

If poeple are wondering how Honoka got to the Airport and back to school so quickly... it means that Kotori was at Haneda Airport, which is like 30 minutes south of Akiba. If it was Narita... that's like an hour ride on the Narita Express from Tokyo, which is the fastest way to get there.

While Kotori does need someone to tell her to stay, not anyone would have suffice. As close as Umi and Kotori are, I don't think Umi outright telling Kotori to stay would have made a difference. It seems like Kotori knew what Umi was trying to get at and she said she had already made up her mind on going to study abroad. Honoka was the only one who was able to get Kotori to stay. The first reason is that both Kotori and Umi look to her as a leader and and the second reason is that Kotori values Honoka's opinion over all others. Kotori considers Honoka as her best friend, someone who she would tell about her plan to study abroad before anyone else. If Kotori has a reason to stay it would be to stay with Honoka. The yuri vibes between kotori and honoka are too strong
What I don't understand is why Kotori needs Honoka to tell her to stay. Does this go back to Kotori's feeling of inferiority at not being particularly unique within muse so she needs someone to validate her value to the group? If she really wanted to stay, she would and also, it's kind of silly to turn down an opportunity to study with a famous designer just for some friends imo.If she loved muse, she would just stay.Kotori is too wishy washy.Maybe she just wants attention? And also Kotori was planning to leave without saying farewell to Honoka? Really? You are just going to leave without talking to your best friend? Wow Kotori's character is just so cringe inducing. She's very cute but that's about the only good thing about her character.
