SDR2 is definitely the intended sequel, and considering the way how DR1 ended, it is hard possible to simply continue from there like that, if the company wanted to keep the same element (as in a fast paced eccentric/pop mystery detective game).

So basically, it is like the horror movie Saw and its sequels.
The base and point of the story is the same, just with other characters. Well, yeah, it is logical enough. Although it is a bit sad to switch on other characters after you get "attached" to the old ones. Last edited by Haiprbim; 2013-07-29 at 06:15. |

They set a rule, and in the next minute, Naegi opens a locked door by force and nothing even hints towards any kind of punishment. Okay... the hell? |

Mistake from the anime. The rec room door has no lock in the game, and its doorknob was simply jammed by the chair. Makoto used a broom that Aoi found nearby, and broke the window with it, then pushed the chair aside.

To be fair, if it wasn't specifically a rule, then they can do it until it is one.
But yeah, I'm not sure why they added the lock to the door, especially when they showed him moving the chair blocking the door the episode before that. |
