Wow so it's not just me and a couple of my mateys also found them oldish-looking from the 90s, but a quick download of a couple of raws showed the same so we just didn't delve in it.

After checking out the subbed version of episode I can say I like it even more than when I watched it raw.I liked the OP even more, now that I roughly know the lyrics.Its been awhile since I've watched a series as upbeat as this(my depression symptoms are cured =D).Also,I'm glad that XEBEC is doing this since they have a good track record of keeping to the manga for the series they do.So I guess I have no complaints so far.I'll rate episode 1 as 8.5/10 but its only bound to get better as more "interesting" characters are introduced.

This seems okay. It's worth watching for now cuz I loved Black cat and Jump. I was actually really surprised how good the animation quality was. I love how good of treatment To-love got and Neuro got completely shafted. Fuck you Madhouse...

Hmm guess it wasn't just me. Well I'll get use to it most of my favorite anime are from the mid 90's anyways and they all had that faded look to it.

It started well, but Rosario Vampire also did, but with better animation. However, I hope Toloveru can stick with the manga content more closely (not like R+V).

Some of the chapters are an arc in and of themselves; othertimes there will be two chapters comprising a story...which is tailor-made for an anime, which typically uses 2 chapters per episode.

About the longest arc that I've read so far (having read up through chapter 86)...

was the planet 'Okiwana' arc (the name is not a typo ). I don't remember exactly, but I think it was about four chapters in length. There have been a few 3 chapter arcs as well, but two and even one chapter arcs are more common.

Got this link from animation website it shows productions images of Lala with nipples which shows that the DVD version will be uncensored though I'm pretty sure everybody already knew that was going to happen.

Plot Summary: Urusei Yatsura is the story of the unluckiest and most lecherous young man alive, Ataru Moroboshi. When aliens decide to invade Earth, Ataru is randomly selected to defend his planet by playing a game of the aliens national sport, tag. Should he win, the world shall be saved. However, Ataru is motivated for far less noble reasons, as the one he plays against is revealed to be the curvaceous alien princess, Lum. The game goes for 10 days, and on the last day, Ataru, motivated by his girlfriend assuring him marriage (and consequently, a marriage night one can assume) should he win, finally catches Lum. However, with his victory he gives a cry of joy for his coming marriage, which is misinterpreted by Lum to be a marriage proposal. She promptly agrees, beginning the two's "marriage" together.
