Because Kubo recognized that many are getting bored, so he injected some much needed Yoruichi fanservice to give us something to look at (to make up for the silly Ai-chan costume change)...

So I'm going to take wild guess and say that Yoruichi's new costume means she has finally completed her Shunko. Which is a perfectly acceptable explanation to me since it comes with such good fanservice

Also, who wants to start making 'that's not Aizen under that mask' theories with me?

why wouldn't yoruichi be there? urahara/yoruichi were touted as being nigh unbeatable when teamed up.

although, yes, issin could be still fighting, but then people would be just complaining that it is just dragging on until urahara or royal guard show up.

I just don't know how useful she'll be. Maybe there has to be someone for Aizen to show off his power against. That way Urahara still is around to own him after. I mean, this new power-up wouldn't look too good getting pwnd right away.

You know, final bosses tend to be presented in ridiculous detail and always wrapped in some kind of lore...Aizen breaks the stereotype by having his final form being...a white shadow, yeah.
