Another episode of consistent quality. I'm just a little worried about what are they going to do when all the cures are introduced. I hope to see episodes of some clear cut character centric episodes like in Heartcatch, which was great since it took its time to flesh out side characters also.

Do you think Pierrot is the real villain? I was sure in Suite that Mephisto from Suite was NOT the real villain. But Pierrot does seem like the real final boss, given that they are not revealing him until episode 22 at the earliest. Pierrot...look it up on Wikipedia. Pierrot = sad clown (character type used in pantomime)?
I also predict Cure Sunny's midseason upgrade will change her color from orange to red...even though orange fire is hotter. I predict another member of the team will change their color to purple due to a midseason upgrade. |

Candy is looking for the Cure. If she find them right away, episode 6 will turn into "now, what ?", beside fighting the weekly Akanbe till episode 22 shows up. They should have waited. More time for character developpement. But hey, it's still better that Suite, for sure. |

You still have interesting possibilities. There are five members so there is room for quite a bit of interaction. And the obligatory character-focused episodes, which I think aren't all that interesting. And the obligatory kenka (fighting / arguing) and/or kaisan (breakup) episode(s) - I always like these type of episodes.
I never watched Yes! Pretty Cure 5, so it will be interesting for me how this all plays out. I think those hoping for a Cure Moonlight subplot-type thing will be disappointed. It would be nice if that was the direction they went, but it doesn't look like it from here. |

I liked the way Red Demon avoided attacking the (then) non-combatant Yayoi. Not quite so heartless, after all. Perhaps an early telegraphing of an eventual heel-face-turn.
The formulaic elements stick out here more than they did in Heartcatch and Suite, but still, we're three for three good episodes, so I'm happy with what we've seen so far. Compared to Suite, even this early in the series, I did like Hummy quite a bit more than what we've seen of Candy so far, and the setting needs more depth, but basically everything else is better here, especially the villains and character design.

I know the extradiegetic reason is to make her distinct, but it's a bit odd that Nao's the only one in her family with green hair. You'd think the rest of the Midorikawa kids would have different shades of green or somesuch, but nope, just her. Screw genetics, she has green hair.
