Devil May Cry 5

Quote:
Good news for Devil May Cry fans as Devil May Cry 5 for 2015 has been allegedly confirmed by Capcom and we would see the return of the old Dante that we all know and love.

It has been confirmed that Ninja Theory won't be working on a sequel to the Devil May Cry reboot as they are completely engrossed on working on their new IP, Hellblade.

Dualshockers reported that Ninja Theory's only response to DmC 2 questions and whether they are going to make it is a simple "Maybe one day".

Cyberland has reported though that after gamer backlash at the Devil May Cry reboot and it failing to meet financial expectations, Capcom is allegedly back to making the game by themselves and that Devil May Cry 5 is actually in the works right now.

Cyberland noted that fans can expect an announcement at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2014 this September and Devil May Cry 5 may be released this 2015.
No plot details are available at the moment but it has been reported that Devil May Cry 5 would follow Devil May Cry 4 and it could follow the story of Nero.

What do you think about Devil May Cry 5 for 2015? Do you want to see the return of Nero? Sound off in the comments below!
Despite this article I still am skeptic on either this truth or false in this case. Well as happy as I am that NT is now working on another DmC (wouldn't hold my breathe on that), but considering Cashcom's track record I can't get as excited about this news in anyway. Until we see what this potentially showcasing at Tokyo Game Show holds all we can do now is speculate and see where this could goes.

None the less, if this is true. Great but I'm still skeptical and don't have faith in Cashcom doing a great job on this one. Seriously, Kamiya-sensei. Get your damn series back!

Well message delivered. I'm just the messenger. So thoughts and comments or whatever "shrugs shoulders"!

The name isn't going to sell me on this. Who exactly is going to work on this? Kamiya and the others left Capcom years ago. Is Capcom really willing to outsource development to Platinum Games to make sure this is a success? I doubt it.

Lol, "allegedly confirmed" ? In other words it's still a rumor that hasn't been officially confirmed.

Same with RE7, what's with all these Capcom rumors ?

I would be disappointed. Disappointed, but not surprised.

Good news, but honestly Capcom has seen better days - and we have seen better games. DMC4 was a good game, but I'd still rank DMC3 (special edition) higher...and even though I bet DMC5 could be another 30 hours well spent all in good fun, I'd REALLY like to see Capcom start a new franchise instead of banking on their past successful ones.

Despite DMC4 being rushed, it still had the best gameplay of the series.

I would be happy if the same staff returned to DMC5.

I don't know. I think Internal developed Capcom games are pretty good.

If it's outsourced, though... then I don't trust them.

There's also the scythe guitar form that Nevan takes in DMC3 DMC definitely had the most badass final fight though, combining DT FPS, a hax sparda sword that was half the screen long in DT and an epic escape from....Mallet island, that's what it was called! (OT: the castle in DMC was by far the most graphic one as well.)
