@ Arimfe - There is no incopatibility with Vista for the current build.. everything works fine (seems a lil slower for whatever reason.. but nothin' really special)

Sorry, meant v1.6. Remembered it wrong, but the point was that there really is no reason to upgrade to a dubious, compromised version from the current, well working version. Especially if Cohen strikes more deals with RIAA and the like.

If it still "works" then that's good of course. But I can still understand those who are trying out the other clients already now. It's not just the new OS, there's also the rest of the "ecosystem" of a torrent application that's playing in the "buggame". Things like anti-virus, firewall or other apps that traffics or measures the network, they are MANY and there will be tons of these which will continue to develop, they will have new versions with enhanced features -> new bugs and so on. The dangers are many for a torrent client standing still while its ecosystem continually change.

That's up to the different tracker admins. I'm sure most don't mind older clients but there are some who does ban clients they don't like for whatever reasons.

Is it me... Or do the current v1.6 now generates a popup messagebox when you started utorrent .. saying that its a free version yadda yadda ... Never had that messagebox before o_O .. I didnt update it .. uncheck the check for update version checkbox long ago.

Looks like a new client is needed after all

Weird indeed, I'm using that version too and haven't had any popups either. When did you download it? Recently? Or a while ago?

edit: I've had this current version for a few months now, more or less since it was released, so I haven't downloaded a recent version of the 474 build.

You can check whether they made any "silent updates".
Download a new utorrent.exe to somewhere else on your computer. Put both of them into their own zip/rar file with winrar. Then you can match their crc32 against each other:

If they made any silent updates then lol at them, and host your copy of that build somewhere for me.

Hi all, figured I would post something a bit more positive in this thread

below is a link to the µ skins page...I put together a Bleach toolbar with chibi characters from the show...feel free to download it and use it
I run a blue desktop theme so it will depend on your theme as to what the background will be, the toolbar is just the buttons- here's a pic...I did it because there was nothing for Bleach or anything anime oriented on the µ skins page...
