Then again, in the manga she gives off a much, much cuter chibi vibe than what we've seen in the anime.
But still...having a loli voice like Ikue Ōtani, Hisayo Mochizuki or hell, even Akemi Kanda would have been much better.

I actually really like her voice, well the little bit of it we've heard. Seems cute enough for me, but we'll see in the future what may happen.

in any case, i love the little scene of her reviving the island.

Guys, stop complaining about the voice of a character who has all of 5 lines, which are now over, and who we most likely will not hear from again for a 100 episodes or perhaps ever (unless Mashima decides to do a flashback "the founding of Fairy Tail" arc or something... But I doubt that as he's already established his previous generation characters).

Actually, this raises a question... Purehito (Hades) was the 2nd Guild Master.

That implies then he must have known Mavis when she was alive.

But he seemed completely to ignore Mavis's grave's presence on the island, and couldn't sense her "astral spirit" at all, either?

It would seem to me to be a huge oversight by him to just think she'd be long dead and gone and wouldn't try and stop him from destroying Fairy Tail (like giving someone Fairy Glitter and Fairy Sphere, both of which I'm sure he knew about).

And above all, no matter how tainted he became, why wouldn't he have some respect/fear for his old master, much how Makarov did of Hades?

Hmmm...I'll just smile and nod at this so people don't bitch about spoilers.

But still, regardless of the number of lines, the voice is still important. It's my personal opinion that she should have a cuter voice, it is not complaint, just stating my opinion.

Frankly speaking, I have long given up on 'deep' questioning on Fairy Tail, and just enjoy the good parts.

Given that he's likely the one that buried her, and sealed Fairy Glitter into her grave, I can see why he'd think she was a non-factor.

The dead are dead...he probably didn't think that Mavis had THAT much magical power that she could form an astral body and walk around every so often...

Or cast Fairy Sphere... Either way, she was a complete BEAST of a mage - probably could take out the Council by her astral self...

As for her voice...*shrugs* I've definitely heard worse and besides, it's MAVIS. She's suppose to be small but that doesn't mean she'd have to sound like a total kid. I liked how it sounded - definitely young and full of life but also tempered by wisdom and knowledge beyond her appearance in years.

I stand by what I said...Mavis Vermillion is my loli dirty little FT secret (I want to hug her every time I see her) and I believe a cute loli voice suits her best!

If Mavis had a cute loli voice, I would never take seriously as a guildmaster. She seems quite serious from the few seconds we see of her, and I love her voice. From what we know of her so far, it seems like a great fit. Besides, most of Noto Mamiko's female characters are awesome cute characters.

I guess the sample of Master Mavis' voice from Episode 112 really threw off everyone's prediction of how she would look. That's why FT is so awesome, nothing ever goes according to the plan!!

I don't like when Noto Namiko isn't using her trademark soft / gentle / high class lady trademark voice. So what if Fairy Tail isn't Marimite. (Although it's probably great for her she is able to play more than one role, I love her soft voice so much ...)
