I think I get it, Feb 22, 2009 was what the organizers chose to hold their celebration. Feb 7, 2009 is the actual launch date.

I keep seeing "Nyan-nyan-nyan" for the date. Is this a play on the numbers of the date (2/22), so that they can refer back to Macross and Macross F's "Nyan-nyan" resturants?

Let's just hope that the next few years will bring a better outcome for us than for them .

I'll say. I rather like being not atomized.

And there will be only the two? I'm downloading it, by the way. And why episode 00?

The first two episodes of Super Dimension Fortress Macross, as originally broadcast on Oct. 3, 1982, in its beautiful 2008 remaster.

And yes...we're going to do the whole she-bang.

In other words, a simple gimmick? Okay... Let's see the quality, then.

Edit ADD: Zaku_II
, I hadn't seen that description. Now, I'm quite more psyched. Let's see the quality. Even if I have the DVD's, a remastered edition could be a big plus, no?

Certainly worth the time. Can't wait for the good stuff. Hope they remestered it so that Hikaru's training Valk smashes Minmay right at the start

Just an update: What a slooooooooooooooooow torrent. I still haven't finished downloading - neither did anyone along with me. Oh, well... hope it does finish eventually, anyway.

Can't wait to see the differences.

Just seen it. It's been a while since I saw the original co I can't really tell. The video quality is certainly far better then what I've seen before. The sound lacks but it was the same with the original release.

Really, it never cases to amaze me, Macross lift off that is.

- Gravity Control System fully operational
- Macross lift off!
*crack*
- What is that?!
- That's our Gravity Control System flying off on it's own
*wham! back on earth*

One of the best ship lit off's I've ever seen

Oh, God, yes. That scene is just pure win.

Finally seen it. The jump in quality is remarkable, actually. Hope we get more, soon.

It's worth it. I do really hope they will continue with those releases. Those are about 2-3 times better then what I've seen before

Quick question, are the ADV DVDs out of print? I saw that the thinpak collection came out in October, but it seems to be gone EVERYWHERE. It's kinda annoying.

I can find the AnimEigo 9 disc release, but I know that has less extras than the ADV one does.

I also read in the 1st page of the thread that the AnimEigo one has better sound, can someone clarify that for me? How is it better?

Also, which of the two sets would you guys recommend?
