Akisame's character profile says he's 38, and the beginning of chapter 153 says the events in that and the following chapters took place 15 (more or less) years ago

My guess is Shigure is about 20-24 then. It clearly shows that she hasn't gone through puberty yet - and the fact that she looks much more tomboyish when she was a little girl.

Anyone else has been getting the vibe that Shigure likes Kenichi?

Last I heard, after the tournament thingy. Kenichi goes on a journey with Shigure? My memory could be wrong.

The longer this series goes the more and more it seems kenichi is gaining a harem(It's at what 3 girls (Maybe 4 with Shigure) now that like kenichi?)...which makes me wonder if in future chapters to come before this manga ends if we will see either Freya or Kisara jump on this bandwagon

Right, the thrower has a crush on Kisara. But, I am wondering if in the future before this manga ends if something will happen story wise that will add either of them to his growing list of girls.

There's hint after their trip that she does like him and jealous of Miu. Is it brother/sister love or romantic, who knows but Kenichi really had an influence on her character. Let's just say Kenichi's the only one she doesn't mind revealing her body to...

How many volumes have been translated to english? There are 29 volumes out and the anime reaches volume 16 right?

Scanlations are in the middle of volume 18

Well, we've already gone over the issue of her age. She's almost certain to be in her early 20s.
