So there's going to be a stage play next spring (god, how can you make this work as a play? Best of luck to the director for figuring that out!) and, mostly unrelated, the next science;adventure title is going to be a light novel. Maybe once all of that comes out we can bother the mods again about renaming the forum and putting everything in one place....

Airi can easily be represented by video screens on the side of the stage, and most of the main cast are easily able to be played by live actors. Some clever set design and animatronics can portray any versions of GunBuild necessary, and if they want to work in Tangashimachine, well, things like that already exist as toys. Maybe not with that level of articulation, but it's far from impossible.

That's the thing with the Science Adventure series. Most of the science takes place in ways that don't require super flashy effects - it mostly relies on character reactions. So turning it into a stage play might be a challenge, but it's one I can see being overcome pretty easily.

Arara... New OP isn't catchy at all. Not much of a climax (Bokutachi ha~~~ hitotsu ninareru~~~~!), not much motion (too many still shots...)...

New ED was great though! As expected of Itou Kanako! *insert Jojo line*

I'm kind of glad that they've decided to speed things up by cutting Nae ending and making Junna chapter shorter. It's too bad they cut out the parts about Junna's family, but I guess there's no point making this to span into another episode (which, from the preview of ep13, that Frau chapter would get at least 2 episode)

Doc sure doesn't age well. He looked pretty much the exact same nearly 20 years ago in 2001 (that is to say, really ancient).

R;N 12 - This Burning Hot Passionate In My Heart

I'm glad we got our Junna episode. She's been a character I've been interested in since the first episode, but her role has always been kind of minor until now. This is the first time I can think of that a Science Adventure TV show has had two distinct openings and endings. Only the first OP and second ED are by the singers from the original game, but I'm fine with both the new openings and endings. And even gladder that GB-2 is underway.

So Junna sees these friendly robots as closer to Mom's Friendly Robots. Once again, Aki's complete refusal to give up on anything pulled us through. This was a really heartwarming episode, and I liked the Silver Age aesthetic that a lot of the old robots had going on. They're like Tobor, which is robot, spelled backwards. This show's really about robots of all sizes. Giant robots, human sized robots, tiny robots. About the only size of robots it's lacking are nanomachines, and I won't be surprised if those show up in some capacity.
