No news on the OP/ED themes so far, though I'd dearly like Suemitsu and the Suemith to return as well.

I can't wait! The first season was my favorite new anime from last year and I just started buying the manga! I'm trying really hard to get ahead of the anime starting point so I won't be spoiled by the anime. In that case, the low episode count is actually a good thing.
But I am disappointed it won't be another 26 episodes! :\

According to one of the subbers, the new intro is the one from the video on the website(sky high by the gospellers). Personally, I'm really hoping they use a song from Crystal Kay's cd that just came out for one of the ending themes again! The first ending theme from last season was my favorite song in the series, despite it being a classical music show.

Episode 1:

I need to learn French D:

Apart from the fact that I understood like...half of the jokes and references, it was fun. I didn't watch the first season but I watched the J-drama so it's kind of weird looking the anime for the first time. Even with that, it was just too fun. I think I need to read the manga now.

Also French Otaku, I lol'd.

OP/ED both are really good, I liked more the opening. Dunno who was the singer for the ed, but there was a CM about it.

Looking forward to the next episode. (Now to watch Black Butler 2 )

Is it just me or Tanya looks so much hotter in the anime than in the manga? At least that's my impression after skimming the first episode.

OP

Inanely hard to follow in some parts if you're not almost completely fluent in Japanese because of all the broken French with subtitles flashed up for half of a second which aren't even supposed to be sensical sentences in the first place...

Is this the new thing for Noitamina shows, OPs with cutout characters and using one of the seiyuu to narrate the Sony billboard? This started with the last series, Antique Bakery.

Nodame doesn't have the 3D effects, of course. Still they're stylistically rather similar.

Oh man, this OP theme is frickin' awesome! They took one of the most memorable and gorgeous themes in the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto 2's 3rd movement and arranged that thing in a way that just totally kicks ass. I'm totally excited about this season!

Op sucked, but the ED was nice...

Really not a whole lot to add seeing as I'm a Manga reader and a live action viewer...Stories are still entertaining even on this third time through though and all of it translated well I think. Always awkward to find a happy balance when a story is juggling two languages, but it came across pretty well...

The first episode was great, I was expecting a lot and it didn't disappoint. I've been looking forward to this season ever since it was announced.

BSS has released ep01 in .mkv format. Their past SD encodes were great and this one is no exception.

I definitely enjoyed the episode. The OP definitely sucked. Certainly wasn't nearly as good as the OP from the first season. ED wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Still, its Nodame! Can't wait for more!

thanks!

I just watched ep 1. Everything is as funny and well executed except for the background music. I was expecting some funny music to accompany the funny scenes (like the bit when Nodame was stalked by Masumi), but this ep is strangely devoid of music?

They should speak less Flench, it hurts my ears unless they get a seiyuu that can actually speak French such as Ikezawa Haruna. Besides that minor complained excellent first episode.
