yea...i hate how his "form" looks like...it looks like ass in the morning...dammit i hate his face when he transforms.. XD....meh..its something to endure...but i know that tranformation is gonna come alot in the near future...

Which means you either obviously didn't watch the first 2 episodes, or you are braindead and missed all of the half-dozen or so really good moral/plot points they bring out that are NOTHING like Mahoromatic...

There are DEFINITELY similarities between Mahoromatic and this series. Of course it's not the EXACT same thing (I mean, come on! Anime companies aren't THAT stupid

)... but the similarities are there. I've kind of given up hope on this one, although some series pleasantly surprise you with a great ending. If that ever happens, I'll pick it up then.

From the preview pictures I thought this was going to be some big post-apocalyptic saga or something. ^^; Kinda disappointed with the first 2 episodes..(This IS from the same studio who made FLCL, right? Sure doesn't seem like it!) The animation is awfully nice and some of those in-jokes are funny but I'm probably gonna end up dropping this if things don't pick up in the next few episodes. Way too many other good shows to catch up on during this season.

oh, and Takeru's other form is very unappealing!

Well, trying to judge a GAINAX show from only two episodes is of course an exercise in futility, but it's nice to be back in their hands again, all the little touches, and the way it can run happily and overtly along cliche lines and then suddenly completely and stylishly ignore them for a bit, it really shows how pedestrian the execution of most shows is. I get the feeling that this could surpass Mahoromatic, although there's not much sign yet of a challenge to their classics, but, we'll see what happens. That's all you can do.

Says who? Have you watched Eps 3+4? Guess not?

After watching ep 3 and seeing the preview for ep 4 I'd say that both Takeru and Ryou are the male leads, and both Hikari and Akari are the female leads.

I'm guessing we haven't met this "Akari" yet she's probally the girl at the end of ep 2, and somewhere in the middle of ep 1 with the dark eyes and dark hair.

errr... Akari has red eyes and red hair... Hikari has green eyes and orange hair (except in her "evil mode" where her eyes and hair seem to turn red...)

My favorite part is that Takeru actually completely explains and tells EVERYTHING that happened to his aunt/uncle/cousin+friends. How many animes do you see the main char hide things and try to do cover-ups and things.To see him explaining everything the very next day was just pretty cool. Yea there's a lot of fanservice and that whole shower scene may be a smidge over the top but, oh well. I'm not gonna write a complaint letter...
