I wouldnt reccomend you buying them since the patches arent made/out anymore and since you eill be able to buy the full games at mangamer this authumn but if you want you can buy them at himeyashop.com.

Western viewers I think. It originates from Keiichi Moristato from Oh my Goddess. He writes his name as K1 on his racing uniform and thus western fans often used that as a shorthand as well. Since they have the same name, it carried over to Keiichi Maebara.

I have now watched the Anime as the VN is still not available fully translated (well it will take until October for the "official" version and I didn't want to wait anymore, after reading Umineko - though I know those two aren't "directly" related but as I liked it, I really wanted to see Higurashi too) and I finally wanted to know the story of Higurashi and I end up with a few questions (the questions might also contain a few slight spoilers to Umeniko):

So were some of those things only explained in the VN because I didn't know those things from the Anime alone.
