For a sports anime, Overdrive deffinatly is not made from the same cookie cutter, we saw 1 race, 1 sporting event and then its seemingly over......then again ive never seen a cycling anime before so ofc it wouldnt be like baseball, basketball & football!

Tho it is alittle dissapointing. For what we did see, we saw alot, however I cant help but still feel there is a massive gapping hole left open, that needs filling.

Not only that, but for a sport anime i thought that finally i had found one that had a pretty good chance for some romance element to be intertwined evenly. Two previous ive watched that also got me thinking was Wild Striker and Suzuka, which had pathetic amounts or a sport that went compltly down the romance route, leaving the sport behind......but no, Overdrive writters left this relationship compltly open! After all we've seen between the two, after the development we've seen from Yuki's side, they didnt end it.....which makes me think that this might not be the end, well its not lol, the manga continues!

And whats with the massive trend in anime's now? everything i'm watching is ending either last week, this and the next weeks!

I know that this is off topic but all mostly all the series that started in the spring or summer end right about now. And then the fall series is going to be airing starting october except some that already started

I hate how its just one long race. Pretty boring with a lot of flashbacks imo. I rather they do a couple of different tracks. I dont think they have anymore ideas for flashbacks if they were going to do more races. This series was really good till the start of the race..

More or less the ending I wanted it was fun all around. Kaho says she wants to join the club and everyone places her as team manager even though she wants to race and is too shy to say so. Mikoto and Yosuke are annoying about being hungry so the Teraos give in and decide to treat everyone for their hard work. At the karaoke parlor one of Yuki's friends asks Yosuke what is his next goal and he goes on about not having any just going for the bigger prey while Yamato talks about winners having goals and like the Tour de France. Of course Mikoto cuts them off saying that all of them should do it as a team in a very nice little aww sort of speech.

Anyway later they are having fun by the shore with fireworks. Mikoto is avoiding her slightly since he didn't keep his promise but she says it was his first race so it's alright. Mikoto confesses to her but her answer is interrupted by Yosuke who chases after him. They did a nice little throwback to the beginning scene with them starting the Tour with all of them racing as a team sponsored by Asahi Steel which is owned by Kaho's father. And that's that more or less.

I doubt it would be a month or two because I think it would be announced by then

If they're going to have a 2nd season, it might take a while, since the upcoming season will last about 3-4 months, so if there is one it might be a while!!

Spoiler for Ep.26:

From the end of the ep it doesn't seem like they plan to do a s2. If they were planning a S2 they probably wouldn't need to show the Tour De France clip again. It's a fun series, but nothing too exceptional, the race is dragged on a bit too long. 7/10.

16 was cool its good the way Yamato inspires Shinozaki to ride so hard and not allow himself to be beaten by him he was looking gone before he turned up..
Both have caught up to the leading pack now and are back in it..

I think this was the best episode yet in terms of racing as we see everyone go all out, starting to wonder if Shinozaki is going to finish the race

Man, this anime owns. I never thought cycling could be as intense as this. Not to mention some very heartwarming parts on some eps like ep 17&18. I love this series. Hopefully a 3-4 season would be good enough for finish everything.

ep 20 was full of flashbacks, i guess its ok once in a while but i was hoping to see some more cycling action
