That pv animation was definitely overkill. Liked animation, expected from Production IG.

What I'm still a bit weary of is its constant C:G vibe, which I'm not amused of. I just don't like this entire setting of so called 'rebellion' and stuffs.

No....

Rebellion is a common enough theme and while there may be a tenous similarity between this guy's power and Geass, there still isn't enough info to be sure.

The staff members are almost exact same team of those who did Code Geass. That's the thing.

As someone who does like Code Geass but is also looking forward to Guilty Crown, I can already tell that there are some superficial similarities but, the thing is, there are also several differences. It doesn't make much sense to focus on what's apparently similar and ignore what isn't.

For instance, the protagonist isn't going to be like Lelouch. His power is considerably different, more oriented towards having a direct physical impact than to manipulation, and his attitude seems a bit more standard for an anime action hero.

If anything, it seems the obvious eventual rival or antagonist may be closer to being someone who manipulates others, though it's early to tell how that will truly develop.

Even the mysterious girl doesn't really resemble C.C. in terms of personality either and just because someone is on a wheelchair doesn't mean they will be like Nunnally. We shouldn't jump to any selective conclusions, much less before the broadcast.

I could go on, but hopefully this is enough to put things in perspective.

I was under the impression that Shu already naturally had his psychic powers and that Inori just served as the "sheath" for his sword/just happens to be an effective catalyst? I think I read somewhere that Shu can technically pull weapons from anyone (Inori, or his relationship with Inori rather, just happens to produce the best weapon).

But maybe that info was wrong?

It's man versus mech. Somehow that isn't very believable. He has the weapons from his supernatural power (and friends) - but what will he use for protection? There's freakin' laser beams out there for cryin' out loud!

My impression (from all the PVs) is that Inori, as a member of Undertaker, goes on a mission to steal the "Void Genome" from a facility. Bad guys find out and start chasing her.

She meets Ouma Shu, stuff happens and she somehow ends up giving him the Genome, which grants him the power to "use his friends as weapons"

This last part is still not very clear yet, wheter he merely pulls the weapons from the bodies, or the actual bodies become weapons.

Interesting version, but, as I've already mentioned in my translations, he pulls things from people, depending on the personality he gets different things and because this process is kind of intimate, he uses Inori (maybe at first).

Watch the trailer, you can see him blocking the beams while he's activating his powers.

Same thing anyway. Best weapon = some sort of power in his case

Question! Is Inori's seiyuu (Kayano Ai) singing the ending theme of this anime?

No, it's shelly (a newcomer singer) singing the ending theme.

Chelly is the singing voice of Inori in the show, so she'll be singing all the insert songs which Inori sings as well. But yeah, it's not Ai Kayano.
