Except isn't Shioi a gold ship prior to upgrading? Unless they changed the drop background now.

As for the change to AA guns, they now give a + to Evasion.

As for Hoppou-chan...

I might be seeing this, but it looks like she keeps her FINAL-form AL event stats.

No, Shioi had a normal holo rarity right from the get go.

Finally got around to play with Hoppou-chan

The verdict:

Fairly easy / Not too bad if you have a very high level, well armed and dedicated torpedo squadron.
Otherwise, have fun with Hoppou-chan, Wo Kai and Compass-chan

My team was Akagi, Souryuu (both loaded with Reppu on two first slots, then torpedo bomber and Saiun), then Haruna (two main guns, recon yasen plane, type 33 dar), Haguro (two main guns, type 33 dar, recon plane), KTKM and Ooi (midget sub and x2 torpedo). I passed the LoS check. The harder part before was Ta in the first node who could potentially crit to red one of my ships, and Wo Kai.

the team I used which was gave me a fairly easy run was Yagahi (two main and recon plane) Chikuma ( two mains and 2 seaplane bomber) Yudachi (2 main guns and type 22 radar) Shimakaze(two mains type 22 radar) Shigure(two mains and type 22 radar) and hibiki( 2mains and type 22 radar) I mostly got sent through the south route 5 out of the 7 times I ran this composition.

Pretty much. If you wanna take the north path, don't hesitate to send your best and heaviest ships for it

For some reason, I keep having Hoppou's "normal final form", but her very angry form doesn't show up at all.
I assume it is her form once you finish 3-5?

Strange, I just ran into what you saw when she showed up with 5 fortresses. When I fight against her 2 fortress 1 CA 2 DD fleet before this she has the new sprite.

Were you in the killzone for the boss? In my case, I started north route only when I was already in the killzone.
Either it is because of that she goes back to that her al form, or it is because of the 5 takoyaki composition.

A little question, which maps have a (relatively spoken) high chance of dropping Shimakaze? I'm still running around without her and would like to add her to my fleet.
