), but why was that kid able to see the Kraken? I thought normal humans couldn't see demons

Kraken is probably just a squid that is possessed or something which allows it to take physical (visible to humans) form. At least I am going to guess its something like that.

I think it can definitely get to 30,000 for the first volume (with a drop off for the rest), most popular shows in this timeslot have continued to sell well into the second half of the show.. and next episode should get things going...

Ao No exercist has a great story. I like the whole devil shit cuz it keeps me entertained. Most Demon=+power stories I find entertaining. Or even the ones where it's just people fighting demons.

Just woke up and saw. Fucking awesome, even more than I was expecting (although I did predict 18k early on). Don't know about 30k, but I can definitely see it going past 23k, which is where FMA: Brotherhood v1 ended up at after selling 17.7k the first week. Ofc, FMA wasn't a new property so the novelty factor really could push it over 30k, although it's a long shot.

In any case, AoEx is undeniable success. Hell, it really could be considered a second FMA now. I didn't think they would be able to accomplish it, but they did. If AoEx aired on Doroku I wonder how much higher would the ratings be? I'm guessing not the original FMA's 8% high but 5-6% seems reasonable.

I had no idea about that either. As you say, squid is a very exotic dish for us westerners, so it's not surprising we didn't know about it. It's more about chocolate here

Ehh, it depends on what part of the western world your from. Squid isn't exotic in the Mediterranean cuisine.

It's true, though highly exaggerated in this case. Cats supposedly like the taste of squid, but they'll feel powerless after eating a large amount.

Wow... you would think this is something they could air on Adult Swim rather easily... really shouldn't be a sub only release... see what happens.

Anyway really looking forward to Episode 12... extended action scenes please A-1!
