Wow Kuon is so cute, especially with Taneda Risa voicing her. Knew the tail grab was going to happen, and it didn't fail to disappoint. Didn't think I'd get another instant HHHNNGG worthy non-childhood friend character so soon after last cour's Nao.

Definitely Kuon is a fun and likable character. Will enjoy watching this show for her if nothing else. Has a likable personality and is pretty darn capable of taking care of herself.

Oh, yes! One of my all time favorite series is finally getting a sequel. Although I do miss the original characters of the first season, these characters seem like they will grow on me.
The first episode was a nice introductory episode. I was hoping more would happen, but this will be a 25 episode series (meaning they most likely will run straight through instead of split cours), so there is a lot of time to build. I really want to see the connections from the previous series, so I look forward to that. If I have to have a complaint, then the MC's voice is a bit too old. I love the VA, but I'm not sure if it is the right fit for this role. Now bring on the conquests and empire building!

I loved the first series and played the game which was superb. With that said, that was a smooth start. The pace feels just about right. It's easy to digest what's happening while everything still remains entertaining enough.
Also Kuon is the best. (still miss Eruru)

He's certainly not good at the tail grab. I mean, he just grabbed her tail as if you were going to grab a door handle. Nothing on her said pull or push! I once knew a guy that didn't have much experience at tail inspections, but he had enough sense to start at the base and work his way out with one smooth stroke. There was so much tail to work with here, that this one should have left us on a cliffhanger until the conclusion of the next episode!

I like Haku more than Hakuoro. His lazy attitude and patheticness is really endearing IMO(and let's speak the truth, haven't we all thought why should we work once before in our life? ) and his attitude in first episode kinda fit the "city boy goes to a rural village where every villager is muscly trained from fieldwork" like Handa-sensei in Barakamon(albeit with 180 degrees difference in personality ). I have a feeling he's going to be a fine "lazy genius" archetype later in the story and I hope the story proves me right

It's interesting that they're going for characters with different personality than the original lead characters despite being placed in the same situation. Rather than being labelled as just Eruru/Hakuoro Ver.2
And same situation indeed as it looks like the duos would also have to deal with a dangerous predator next it seems.

Kuon is an improvement over Eruruw, Haku is a downgrade from Hakuouro. Then again, I also hate lazy people so that's probably why I don't like him. It IS hilarious that Kuon is bit of a pervert though. Watching her ear and tail reactions to Haku stretching in the bath was really funny and entertaining.
Looks promising, though considering this show seems to be for fans of the previous series, they spent WAY TOO LONG doing basically a reenactment of the same opening scenes from the first series. I get that it's a homage, but it was a bit too much. At least the first season had more characters introduced. We literally had only 3: Haku, Kuon, and Ukon. And Ukon we barely saw. I'm hoping we see some characters from the previous series, but I'm not holding my breath. For all I know this series could take place long in the future and the original cast of characters could be long dead. I thought that some spoiler material stated that Benawi, Kurou, Oboro, and the twins made an appearance, but I'm not sure of the truth to the rumors. I am more interested in seeing how Aruruw grew up more than anything else, since she was cute but didn't really talk much in the original series... or even make any complete sentences.
