I didn't know. I'm reading it right now, though, and I'm glad to know that Arba's planning to revive Ill-Ilah through what Sinbad will become. If Ill-Ilah can be revived in that white form, then it's good since it'll be a benevolent God then, but otherwise it'll have to be defeated.

I think you forgot that there is no absolute good or evil in this story. There're just clashes of ideologies. The "benevolent God" you're talking about is the being Solomon despises and wants to erase from existence, since he think it's just a mass of power without any individual will, thus it has no right to decide the fate of humanity. That's the very reason he took all of its power and became god himself in the first place. It means even if Arba successes in reviving Ill Illah in its true form, Solomon will fight it again anyway.

^agree with everything but i dont think salomon can simply pop up and start fighting, if he allowed all the stuff from happening that allowed ill ilha to wake up again than i dont think he will appear in the last moment and "save the day"

Didn't he already do that in Alma Torran last time? He allowed Arba to do anything she wanted and only waked up after she killed Sheba and nearly destroyed the world.

Arba is even more of a monster than I thought. She gives birth just to possess her own descendants... and apparently french the males for no apparent reason.

@Fwar: Yeah, you're indeed right about the clashing of ideologies and there being no good or evil in this manga. But one thing I should correct you and LevelSeven on: Solomon didn't intentionally let Arba do whatever she wanted in Alma Torran in a negative way or whatever. He trusted her and thought she was doing the right thing. And from what he could see, what she was doing was good. She wasn't doing anything bad in front of him and she also completely hid her actual thoughts about Ill-Ilah from him too. And here, I think the reason he hasn't been helping out against what Al-Thamen has been doing is that he can't interfere with the world directly. It would explain why he had to send Aladdin, his proxy, to the world to carry out his will for him.

@Twi: She can't possess the males, probably. If that's what you meant. But I do agree with you on everything else.

You see, after absorbing Ill Illah's rukh, Solomon was pretty much an almighty god who could control fate as his will. There is no reason to think Arba could hide her ill intent from a god who control all rukh. Solomon clearly knew about all of Arba's actions all along, that's why he apologized his comrades after waking up, but he didn't wake up sooner, for some unknown reason. And he could actually interfere with the real world by using some body. The body he used in Alma Torran to fight Arba was a dead one, I'm pretty sure if he wants, he could possess any body in the current world to execute his will, since he is a god, after all.

I was referring to the fact that she keeps kissing her youngest child. If there's any incest in that family line (as often done in royal families in ancient times), it gets ten times creeper when you consider she's essentially given birth to just about every one of them.

As expected, Aladdin gives a wise answer to Mother Dragon about what to do with Sinbad. Can't wait to see his reunion with Alibaba as well. I can feel a 5-star moment coming~

Wow, I am surprised that King Kina looks that young. I always thought he was an old man. Also, never thought that he was the type who has the ball to turn against Sinbad while others bowed down to Sinbad obediently.

Don't you guys think that Aladdin gave Alibaba too much credit for being an extra ordinary guy?

Next chapter should be good. Their reunion is what I had been waiting until now. Also, love Hakuryuu's jab about Aladdin for being unable to use teleportation as good as Judar.

Arba is working real hard.

It's probably different when teleporting to or from the Dark Continent to or from the common continent or whatever it's called, though. It's possible that even Judar would have trouble in this case. And besides, Aladdin trained his body so that he can have strong magic even without his Magi attributes, which Judar has never done. This means that Judar without his Magi attributes is just a regular, weak magician. And they don't get to keep their Magi powers in the Dark Continent since it doesn't follow Solomon's rules.

About Alibaba and how Aladdin praised him so much: I actually agree with everything Aladdin said. But notice that the words used were "incredibly ordinary". It means that Alibaba is just a really ordinary guy, and that he isn't someone extraordinary.

I also have to say that Sinbad should've already stepped down from his position as High King of the Seven Seas. Don't the people of Kina know that? Or maybe they do but just want to call him that simplicity's sake?

One thing, though: The end-of-chapter text mentioned the Magi and the King Vessel, referring to Aladdin and Alibaba respectively, but what's a King Vessel without his Metal Vessel? Isn't it the same as a swordsman without his sword? I don't like this.

Seredine actually managed to defeat Sinbad in a war of words and kindly ideals. I really did enjoy the logic behind her arguments and he philosophy of what it means to be a "king". It feels like she has a real solid understanding. Only flaw is she kinda of ignored is that every royal bloodline does have to start from somewhere and thus technically Sinbad could fashion himself into the beginning or a new royal bloodline... Still i had to side with her overall. Will be interesting in seeing how that all plays out, why this plan of hers does not work out and how we get to where we were at the beginning of Magi, with Sinbad ruling over his own country

I both like and hate how some of their words played into the modern story... Sinbad declaring he would found a country based on trade seemed rather 'off'; it feels oddly specific (i preferred him saying he would found a country with diplomacy as its goal as that felt more relative). It seemed out of place, like he was only saying that because its sorta of what he was doing in the main story at the same time... However I did like Seredine's point that Sinbad did not be a king in order to influence the world, and that seems to have translated to what he's doing in the world right now; once he was in position to conquer the world, he gave it up to influence the world as a merchant instead

However the death flags for Seredine are now in full swing... Not only is she now where to be found in the modern story, but Sinbad needs to claim Zepar at some point and it seems like the death of a king vessel could easily be the reason.
